Issues after 4.0.2 upgrade

These are the remaining defects/issues, for what we have seen, after 4.0.2 upgrade:
– In the Audience>Contacts section, some characters are not recognized (for example, if I write for contact name L’ALBERO, it recognizes it as L’/ALBERO, with the /.
– Select active/inactive and creation new Post notification don’t work.
– Post notification doesn’t send notification email to subscribed contacts.

Bad formatting on newsletter for some subscribers

My newsletter is being being received by some of our subscribers with poor formatting. Some subscribers are receiving the same newsletter exactly as I designed it:

There are random = signs appearing in the text.
With the same newsletter being sent to 200 people, these characters aren’t there for all of the subscribers, just some of them.

Are there any known remedies for this issue?

Exclamation characters showing in form submissions

I’m getting random exclamation points showing in post submissions that seem to be limited to the date picker and comments field.

Version is FormCraft 3.2.8 (Free Version)

Weird Characters showing up

Since a few days I’ve noticed that (after painstakingly adding over 1200 stores manually) strange characters appear in my store locator. As a consequence, the shop titles and descriptions do no longer align properly, nor does the navigation option work.

I have a development area where my wp store locator is still in good shape, so i’ve exported the XML file for import in our “Live” website, but the weird characters seem to appear again.

I see you have finally added a csv importer as a paid add-on. When I was setting up wp store locator, this option was not available. Therefore a have manually entered all of the shops and shopinformation. It took forever! Now my data seems corrupted. I would love a response and a solution obviously.

The characters that I see “/*]]>*//*” and so on.

Whenever I receive an email submission from my reservation form the reCAPTCHA field shows a long string of random characters. How do I stop this? This began approximately two weeks ago when I installed the lasted plugin update.

Falcon Cache and InfiniteWP

Occasionally some of my WordPress sites that use WordFence caching will start to display a single line of gibberish characters, on a white page. It happens whether I am using the Basic Caching or Falcon Engine.

I went into /wp-content/wfcache/(domain name)/
There are two files in this directory:
~~~~_wfcache.html
~~~~_wfcache.html_gzip

I opened up ~~~~_wfcache.html and it has the following:

So, it’s the same string of garbage (as expected), but it’s prefaced with .

INDEED… I use InfiniteWP to manage all of my sites. This is a pretty popular script designed to give you a central location to see and manage all of your WP sites (you can push out and install plugins, keep everything updated, log in via admin, etc., etc.).

Interestingly, I just found another of my sites displaying gibberish, and it’s exactly the SAME line of gibberish.

So, it would seem to be some type of conflict with InfiniteWP (IWP) and WordFence caching?

Random Characters showing up on menu bar

I have been attempting to use wordpress on this site and when I scroll down the menu, which can be seen at the top of the page after scrolling contains two random characters. If anyone could help me I would be very appreciative. Additionally on another static clone of the website, these are bullet points (see here)

I am having a weird issue I cannot figure out. I have the latest version of wordpress as well as your theme.

Currently, my main home/index page (and all other Pages) look like this:

However if you click on any Post I have made, and go to that Post Page, all of a sudden this random line appears above the header:

It appears that a tag somewhere has an extra close tag?
I have only done a few lines of custom css for colors in the Appearance > Theme Options > Custom CSS section, otherwise I have not messed with anything else about the site as far as code goes.

I have tried reloading my header image, temporarily removing the custom color css I added, but I cannot find where this rogue end tag exists, since this shows on every single Post Page I have for the site.

Any suggestions of where to look or how to fix? Thanks so much!

I activate W3TC and my site dies immediately! Any clues?

I activate W3TC and my site dies. The landing page appears full of random character and question mark filled diamond shapes exactly the same as this image (https://imgur.com/70hNyP8) posted by another member.
I turn the plugin off and my site returns immediately. I’ve configured settings as recommended by various commentators to no avail.
Turn it on – kills my site, turn it off, right back on!
I’ve deleted and reinstalled and tried numerous configurations, but the result is the same.
I’m not a coder by the way, but I’m more than happy to dive into the code if anyone can help me with a solution.
