Not able to allow page listing

I’ve used ‘Capabilities’ plugin to create roles and ‘Permission’ to limit their edition to certain pages/subpages (we are using Elementor). The thing is, I still need them to see those pages in the section ‘Pages’ of the admin, but haven’t been able to achieve that.
I’ve tried, without success:

Permissions > Settings > Editing > List other user’s uneditable posts
Permissions > Roles > Set Specific Permission > And add all pages as ‘Read’
From the uneditable pages, set them as readable for those roles
Capabilities > Capabilities > Since I don’t see a ‘listing’ tab, I’ve added capabilities (list_others_pages, list_private_posts, etc.) in ‘Add a New Capability’

Could you please advice on how to get this to work?

Revoking reading capabilities for custom post types

I’m trying to revoke reading capabilty for some of my roles to some of the custom post types I have, using the Capabilities plugin.

This is where I expected to find that option: https://tppr.me/CVOUrN, but there’s only Read Private option.

I’m aware that everyone, even non-users have Read rights, and I solved that with Permissions plugin, by limiting reading rights to all non-loggedin users.

Now, among logged in ones, I want to define which role has access to which CPT.

I get that I could use Permissions plugin to do so, but I have multiple Roles and multiple CPTs, and Permissions plugin allows me only to set reading limit to “none” for each of the CPTs (https://tppr.me/LK51a8), and the problem with that is when the new post is added to that CPT, it’s not included in the list of posts my Role doesn’t have access to. Meaning I have to manually go to Permissions settings and set reading limit to “none” each time a new post is published. And that’s just tiresome when you have 3-4 different roles with combination of 3-4 CPTs.

To get to the point, my question is – what’s the best approach to limiting Reading access for some of the Roles to some of the CPTs?

And somewhat connected question – is there a better way to revoke Reading access to all non-logged in users?

Hi, I would need help displaying more than 9 blog posts on my blog post page. I run the thing through Tutor LMS which is part of the problem: I don’t know if the issue is with WordPress or Tutor LMS.

I know of the “Reading” settings and it doesn’t change a thing. I still have hidden blog entries on my Media page.

When I’m on Reading I’m not sure what page the number is applied to. Thanks.

Hello,

I’m trying to change my theme to Twenty Twenty Four but every time I activate it, it shows the default front page and content. I just want it to show the posts like a simple blog. I have the settings in the reading section set to “show latest posts” but when I activate the theme it still shows the front page with web content. I’m just trying to match my current theme but can’t seem to have this theme do a simple blog version that only shows posts.

Frankly, I use my phone for phone calls. And sometimes as a camera. That’s it.

So, it was a surprise when a friend commented that my most popular website was hard to read on a phone. His explanation was: The contrast was too much, with black type on a white background.

That never crossed my mind. Most of my actual online time is at my desk, staring at the soulless monitor in front of me.

Okay, it’s not that bad. I actually enjoy my work.

“Posts Page” breaks the website in the reading settings

I am trying to make a Blog page (that I′ve already created) to be a posts page in the reading settings. When I do that, the whole page defaults to the basic theme posts page. How can I override it with the page that I have created? When i click “edit the page”, all the elements are kept in the frontend, but they are not visible on the website itself behind theme blog page.
