]]>Ive been using Optimole for a couple years and a couple sites. ? Insofar it’s given me peace of mind and good results, thank you.
I use perfmatters plugin for java script and CSS optimization.? I also use litespeed cache for server level caching and CDN. **I also use a plugin that creates physical folders in cpanel. So, my media hierarchy of folders is complex.
I stream Instagram feeds images and RSS feeds with images. The RSS feeds are being served through optimole.? ? The instagram images are served from instagram CDN.
Problems Im having
Im having an ongoing Database issue which I think is due to the volume of images in my installation.? The specific message error messages I was getting reference API being blocked and also says “<h1 data base connection error>”
My host says there is abundance of SQL activity.
QUESTIONS re: “Enable offloading images.”
1. Should “offloading images” reduce database stress and connection issue with my server? Or is it possible this will make server issues worse? ?
2. Could I stop creating thumbnails and other size image if I activate “offload images?”? Or does optimole need the images created at various sizes? ?
3. If I optimized the images using litespeed would that be advantageous? I can create lossy, lossless, or webp.
4. If I did take this step of “offloading” and need to revert the images back. Am I going to be using your tools to revert back? Or would I need to do some other restoration. To re iterate, I do not have a standard media “uploads” folder.
]]>Edit:
Instead of allowing to – for example – select the file name in the field, the Real Media Library’s / Physical Media’s “ability” to move the file activates and it seems like the renamer field is not even reachable. I hope this explanation is somewhat understandable.
The icing on the cake is the prompt and willing support if something doesn’t go to plan.
If these plugins are what you think you need, don’t hesitate; honestly.
Can you please help to fix this issue?
thank you for your support

]]>I seeked clarifications from RML developer before and he mentioned since Renaming of files is done through your plugin, I should check with you about the issue.
Issue Environment :
Am using PDF Embedder to embed PDF files into Woocommerce – Product Descriptions.
Its generated shortcodes will have paths to the PDF files in our server.
During the renaming process after I used RML’s function to rename all existing files to lowercase, 2 things are not happening correctly.
1) Some Existing PDF files are not renamed properly to lowercase.
Files that are not renamed automatically end up with Edit Media button instead of the Lock Icon & Tick icon.
I tried renaming manually via the file list in Media Library or the Inside the Media file page, both will end up with File errors. I end up having to replace the file instead.
Qn) By right would Media File Renamer be able to access the files and rename all files properly? How can this happen.. ?
2) Shortcode — Paths to PDF are not renamed to lowercase as well.
RML developer told me its supposed to rename automatically for the paths as well — so this is odd.
Qn) Is it because Media File Renamer is unable to access Shortcodes created by PDF embedder? OR is it still supposed to work correctly?
Thank you.
Regards
Faustine
