Can You Restore Deleted Images?

I believe Media Cleaner deleted the correct images for my posts, but I found that where I have added images to Categories and Tags (see example page “farming jokes”) the images have disappeared.

They are in the wpmc-trash hierarchy, but I can’t see a way to restore them in Media Cleaner.

Is it:

just a case of moving the images to their corrrect original folder in /uploads, in which case I assume the entries are still in the database
a need to also restore the deletions from the database (I may have cleaned the database after I deleted the images, not sure)
or is there a button in the plugin to restore images

I’m happy to restore everything in wpmc-trash if that will fix things. I have to admit that I haven’t tried yet, I am one of those rare people who prefer to check before acting in case they make things worse.

Is it possible to get access to the recipes/content I’d previously hosted through wordpress on my blog? I think they were backed up with jetpack. I now need to somehow connect my old website to my new domain name, but I don’t know how to access my wordpress dashboard as it was associated to my old domain name. 2022 invoices deleted. I need to recover them with the same numbering

I have a big problem. When I have renamed the invoices for this new year indicating that I want them to start with the current year and a specific number, the thousands of invoices from the previous year have been deleted. The clients are asking me to recover those thousands of invoices from the year 2022 and I can’t find a way to do it. What I can do? There are thousands, and those invoices are associated with orders that are included with that invoice name in their ERP program that is not linked. In other words, I need those thousands of invoices that have disappeared from the year 2022 to reappear with the same nomenclature that they had generated until the change. What I can do?

Corrupted site, no debug data, overwrite option?

IONUS (my hosting provider) had a major hack attack and all my WordPress sites got hit. All were “recovered” by resetting filer permissions that got changed, but one site is dead.

“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

1) There were no emails to tell me what to do.

2) I added the suggested debug lines to wp-config, but no debug.log file is produced.

What are my options going forward (aside from getting IONOS “support” to restore yesterday’s directory?

Q: Can one download, unpack, and copy over a fresh install of WordPress atop the existing site (supposedly preserving all plugins, settings, etc.)?

Many Images Mysteriously Vanish

Over the years, through all the updates, since 2010, I have lost many images. Although, it is primarily for my own bookmarkng purposes, I am glad I found this plugin to restore some of the media files I’ve lost. After testing on my personal site, I feel comfortable using it again for clients as the need arises.
