How many hours have I wasted time just to name all files properly and give a title for SEO. And now it’s so easy.
Create Post -> Upload Image -> Save Post -> Image will be renamed, a title will be assigned and if necessary the permalink changed. And if there are several pictures they are numbered.

On Edit Media File page ( wp-admin/post.php?post=390&action=edit ) I change name of media file “old.jpg” from name “Old” to name “New”. There is no other file with filename “new.jpg” or name “New” or slug “new”.
Nevertheless it renames slug to “prefix-new-2” (there is always “-2” in the end).
How to fix it?
I use your plugin only with one active option in settings:
post prefix: “prefix”
I use Media File Renamer with default settings, instead of:
Sync Slug Permalink: Slug = Filename “yes”
Sync GUID: GUID = Filename “yes”
Thanks,
Jiri
Basically, when I renamed my image files in bulk yesterday, suddenly all the images on my web site are now broken. Again, this has never happened before and it is a big problem since it’s an ecommerce site with hundreds of products.
Please help!
After going through the renaming process, all images seem to be displaying fine, except for the 100x65px images.
These images have been renamed but when checking the URL, it is still linking to the old naming of the images.

Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks!

]]>From what I have seen so far, the mass rename feature takes the title of the image when uploaded instead of the post title (this is what mine looks like https://pokit.org/get/?fe911d2c882aad9c482f001f4eeeff71.jpg).
Is it possible to make is so that it uses the parent post title instead? Thanks!
