Since updating to 5.5 the ‘Reply’ link to comments in the admin area is dead.
I can reply to comments from the front of the site.
Other links on the Comments screen in the admin area work fine – Approve, Quick Edit and Edit. Only the ‘Reply’ link is dead.
Cheers,
Martin.
]]>First of all, thanks for the useful plugin.
We are going to employ an expert to answer comments on our blog section.
How to give only “comment reply access” to this person.
we have testes several combination like modarate_comments, edit-posts and etc but it will give access to other posts and pages too. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
M. Etezadi
With the plugin enabled, when pressing the reply to comment button, this is added to the end of the URL: /#comment-26
.
With the plugin disabled, when pressing the reply to comment button, this is added to the end of the URL: /?replytocom=26#respond
. This is what it’s supposed to be when replying to comments, this is when it actually works.
Disabling Yoast SEO isn’t a long term solution for me, I need to be able to use Yoast SEO.
How do I fix this?
]]>It happens everytime when I’m on the /wp-admin/edit-comments.php page, quick editing one comment or replying someone. One single stroke and the comment field colapses, and all I’ve typed is gone.
The main problem is that it only happens when we do not need it and I doubt anyone ever use the Esk key in this situation because there is a buttom “cancel”, and it is the usual procedure. I use the keyboard shortcuts a lot, and Esc key is used in other actions like to colapse a brower menu or to cancel a contextual menu, that I use for copy/paste/dictionary etc while editing or replying to a comment.
So, does anyone know how to stop the Esk key from cleaning comment fields? Is there a chance of WordPress removing this feature on next versions?
Thanks!
