3.16.4 gives my homepage a container despite my child theme

Dear Responsive Makers,

The update 3.16.4 gives my homepage a one-colour container, while in my child theme I’ve made the container transparent. In the Customizer -> homepage -> container I could not find a way to make it transparent again. So I rolled back to hunky-dory version 3.16.3.

Please, does anyone of you know how to get the container on my homepage transparent again in the newest update?

Update 3.16 messes up the size of images

Again problems after the new update of Responsive Free 3.16
The size of my images are messed up, so I rolled back to 3.15.3
Can anyone of you, wizards, have a look into that?

BG Images, Site Layout Border

This is feedback from testing Responsive 3.15.3 via a Child theme created with 3.13.15.

(1) Background Image
The background image only shows when the site is customized to use the “Default” Site Layout.

I chose to play with the Container Width to made a wider container (1200px) and tested the different Site Layout options.

Only the Default layout shows the background image. The other two options override the background image outside the boundaries of the narrower Container when viewed with a large screen display for these tests.

I assume this is an accepted feature that would need personal workaround if someone wanted a visible BG image outside the Container when selecting Full Width layouts, or making the BG image part of those Layouts via CCS patches?

(2) I’ve noticed a small issue with the side margin when viewed in smaller screen selections.

If I keep the Container at 1200px and Site Layout: Default, then use Customizer to test for Tablet and Smartphone screen sizes the Container shows a margin on the left side of the screen but nothing on the right.

Normally the Container shrinks to give a small margin on both sides.

Problems in Responsive Free updates 3.15 and +

I have problems with updates 3.15, 3.15.1 and 3.15.2 as regards to the standard template, that I use for my contact page!

The featured image (which only has to show in a link) is displayed at the top of the page. Also the normal Main Sidebar is replaced by the Sidebar Right.

Since I don’t have knowledge of php. language, I have no idea to fix this ‘bug’.
I unrolled again to Responsive Free version 3.14.

Is there any way the sublime Cyberchimps can fix this problem?

Error in header.php after update to 3.15.2

Our site must have recently automatically updated to the new version of the theme and now is kicking up this fatal error:

Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home2/mfarmelo/public_html/wp-content/themes/responsive/header.php on line 80

It looks like since 3.14 there is a new series of “get_theme_mod” functions added that were not in versions prior to 3.14. Is there a way to get around this or roll back to 3.14 to ensure the site will stay functional while we perhaps configure settings that are breaking in new version?

Responsive theme-remove breadcrumbs on a pge

Hello there,
Responsive Theme Free: I created a full page with no sidebars. I want to remove the breadcrumbs just on this one page in order to move the content area closer up to the menu bar (I was able to hide the title on this one page). I can’t find the php code in the “Full page no sidebar” php file to remove the breadcrumbs.
Basically I want the menu and right underneath the content area without any big gaps.
here’s the page in question:
Any help would be appreciated.
