Forgot previous WP admin crendentials during restoration

Hi,

I have a client’s website and I have the Updraftplus plugin installed on it. About 2 years ago, Updraftplus created a backup on the local server, which is currently saved on the hosting server. Since then I have also changed the WordPress admin password several times. Now there are some issues on the website. To clear them, I want to restore the same backup. I have tried many times to restore this backup through Updraftplus. But every time during restore a WordPress admin login option is coming, where I enter my current password. But, it gives wrong password message. Which makes me think it is asking for the same password as it was 2 years ago, when the backup was generated. But I don’t remember that password now.

Please guide me how to update the password in Updraftplus backed up files. So that, it can be restored smoothly.

Hello.

When I follow the restore password link that has been email by lost password section the link redirects to login page.

The reset password link is like this:

https://testttttt.com/user-account/?restore_password=81*8519acf0e888e05bc1ad001530790f31

and redirect to:

https://testttttt.com/user-public-account/?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Ftestttttt.com%2Fuser-account%2F

How could I solve this?

I’ve lost the original access to my WP (user Albatros) web albatrospalestra.it and corresponding account after mistakingly attempting a host change to the unregistered URL https://xxxxxxxx.it. It seems the password have been also reset: I can’t login anymore and my address [email protected] is not recognized as associated to any wp user. I don’t know which email address is associated with the wp website. So I have no way to get a password recovery. The wp account (and presumably the contact email) was originally hosted on wordpress.com from the wp provider https://it.siteground.com/ for my aunt xxxxxxxxx.com, to whom you are welcomed to send your support.
In any case, wordpress.com support established and informed me that the ground level site files are available to www.ads-software.com.

i have received the restore password link in my email, when i click that link it generates the password and shows me login link and when i enter the auto generated password with username in the login form it says wrong credentails

Email doesn’t arrive from sk site. If I switch to en site it works. I don’t understand where is problem.

Hi,
i have a problem with clean login restore form.
When a user click on the link (that received by email) to change the password, it isn’t cheanged and the user cannot login.
The page say invalid credentials.

Hi,
for some reason “restore password link” links to the same page where I have add it.
In this way I’m not able to direct the user to restore password page.
I saved many times the page where I put the shortcode.
I completely disabled the server cache but it doesn’t solve the issue too.
May you help me, please?

Hi,

I have a site which is using WPML and is default English with a French side.

I used this plugin to do the Forgot your password? form. Everything (including the emails) work in both languages except the actual link.

Basically the link I get in my French email is :

https://www.example.ca/fr/oublie-votre-mot-de-passe/?restore=23&_wpnonce=7d134fcebb

When I click on this link it redirects me to :

https://www.example.ca/forgot-password/?pass=xKTw4fKz

The problem is they get redirected to an English page with their new password. Good news is the confirmation email I receive afterwards is in French.

Any idea why the French email link redirects the user to the English page?

Restore Password Function doesn't work

I’m using last version of plugin (italian language). The password restore function doesn’t work: clicking on ‘forgot password?d’ from login panel of from widget, a new login panel is displayed instead of restore password panel.
