AIOWM FAQ suggests to go to wp-admin, but this is not possible because the entire site will now show up as a blank page only. Could you please provide instructions on how to solve this?

]]>I tried stopping the process and opening wp-admin on a different tab, but then I was brought to a WordPress install page. I put in my settings, and it looks like AIOWPM did import in all my plugins, but that’s about it. No pages, posts, themes or settings from my previous site. I started the import process again, and once again it seems to be stuck on ‘Restoring Database” for the longest time.

]]>I have nicely backed up the database using the PHPMyAdmin on the old host.
The new host (1&1) also calls its interface PHPMyAdmin, but it doesn’t look the same. It doesn’t have a nice “Import” tab at the top of the screen.
Instead, their help says to click the SQL button, then “Import Files” tab. But unlike the WP instructions, there is no “SQL” button to click – it says it’s looking for a text file, and nothing happens when I select my WP backup file and tell it to use that.
I hae no idea about the more technical aspects of using SQL… Can anyone help me, please??
]]>Now, I’m trying to restore my database hoping to get some of my posts back (although will still lose a good chunk since I last backed up on the 15th =(). Following the instructions here:
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup
I’m good until I get to step 4. I don’t see an import tab anywhere. I’ve got tabs for Structure, SQL, Export, Search, and Query but no import.
I know next to nothing about databases or MySql so I’m stuck as to what to do next.
