We are web designers and have only relatively recently looked at wordpress. We have tried in vain to find an answer to the following issue and thought that it was quite a simple thing that we wanted to do, but obviously not!
We have a client who is having a blog done by us, we decided to use wordpress.com to host the blog as opposed to installing wordpress on our clients server, as we think it will be better for SEO.
So all we want to do is create a feed from wordpress to our clients website to include the first image on each post (if applicable). Its easy enough to get the text feed (ie: blog update title, description etc) but its pulling an image across which seems to be the difficulty. We have found one script online called rss2html which has a series of paid for templates which do have images. But apart from that no information whatsoever.
Any ideas would be appreciated?
]]>So what I’d like to ask is …. what are my options? How can I pull a feed from a blog and include it in another html/php page in the domain without incurring all that overhead? For example, is there a way I could have WordPress automatically generate an actual file on the server each time the blog is updated and feed that instead? Any other tricks I could use? Or am I going to have to choose another blog software and set-up?
Thanks
Mark

Here’s the problem: THe Midweek Radio blog is parsing correctly is my RSS Feeder (RSS2HTML). You can see it spit out at https://www.midweekradio.com
Vyenpakakapaka’s blog? For some reason, the same RSS feed (/blog/wp-rss2.php) that worked for Midweek Radio is producing an “Invalid XML” feed of sorts on Vyenpakakapaka’s blog. Was it something I did wrong, or is there a change in the new version?
; ; Can anyone give me a hand here?
]]>Today I finally upgraded a client from using b2 to WordPress. The WordPress install can be found here:
https://www.steveniles.com/news/
When I was running b2, I had a programmer create a small program that would display the last 7 or 10 or whatever headlines on the front page of the Web site here:
https://www.steveniles.com/
That little program no longer works with WordPress and currently the front page links to news are all part of a static file and not updated automatically. I understand this could be done automatically using RSS and a program like rss2html. I downloaded rss2html and followed the instructions, but all I kept getting was a blank page with no entries displayed.
Can someone suggest the best way to add just the title of the posts and a link to each post on the front page of this Web site? Is RSS the best way to do it, or is there another plug in I could use?
