I can’t get the Save & Publish button to work after a migration, how do I set the Header Image and the Logo some other way? I managed to add the menu again via Appearance > Menus in the dashboard but haven’t found a way to change the the others that way. Can it be done via the database? Can I “Hard”-set it in the theme child I have?

I recently managed to do a migration of a multisite almost completely, with the editing of the database to the correct url and everything. As far as I can see The site is working perfectly except for that the Logo, Header Image and Menu location options are blank (as if I hadn’t entered anything there). Those things are however easy to fix in the Customise menu(all the images are still in the media library), so I started doing that. Everything looks fine while editing it and then I press Save & Publish. But when I reload the page the images and menus are gone again. It’s as if the changes were never changed… I’ve tried checking with a different browser and to clear the cache but it doesn’t work. Is there a possibility that the site doesn’t have proper permissions to the database or something? or can I have changed something in the wrong place in the database? (I think I only edited urls though)

Customizr is showing unexpected problems:

1). “Save & Publish” in the customizer is still not working.

2). Breadcrumbs keep on showing despite selecting despite unchecking again and again – stopped the crumbs via css “display:none”.

3). all pages, except the “Home” have a blank Left Sidebar – the content is pushed right.

I am using as you can see WP 4.7.2 on a windows 8.1 OS. I have just uploaded a new them to freshen up a site I look after for a charity.

I went through the whole process of customisation for the theme which is Travelify, mainly because I would like to use the WPML translation and I know this theme is compliant with WPML.

At each stage of customisation I clicked on Save & Publish before moving on. The customisation preview page reflected my alterations at all times.

However, when I came to the final screen I pressed Save & Publish but when I went to move from the customisation I got the warning Do you want to leave this page as all your alterations could be lost? I pressed no and checked through each page to see if there were any errors but could not find any. I again attempted to move from the page and got the same error message. I clicked YES this time and tried to launch my new page. The theme had changed to Travelify but my modifications were not shown only the basic site was presented.

I deleted the theme and downloaded a fresh one with the same errors. I do seem to remember seeing this warning on my old theme when generating some application forms using Contact plugin but they loaded correctly.

Can anyone suggest what may be going wrong even if it is to say Why don't you retire? The charity, unfortunately, will not let me, they are even less technical than me and that is saying something b ut I somehow muddle through with kind help.

As I say I want to install this theme as it is WPML compliant and the charity have members across Europe and it would be good to allow them to see the website in their own language if possible, I have already tried Gool Translate but was met with hoots of laughter.

I have developed this problem out of nowhere 2-3 weeks back and no it wasn’t immediately after I updated to 4.6.1. Two major symptoms:

1) Unable to mark comments as spam. It says its marked spam and Undo however if you refresh the page the comment is still there its gone nowhere. To workaround this though I can go to comments panel and select all and bulk move as spam and this works just fine.

2) Unable to Save & Publish theme customization. This is not specific to one theme – this is common throughout. I have disabled all my plugins in fact, I have deleted all of its content, renamed the folder and probably done all that I could with memory allocation related issues. Whatever is out there on the web I have tried.

Kind of stumped with this one here. Need help on this!

I have yet to figure out a solution, and never needed to until today. The theme “Bones” has removed the setting from Reading which allows you to choose a static or posts home page. Instead the setting is only in the theme options, bad idea. I can set the theme to static, but it will not let me choose the page to use as static because of the login loop.

I am going to ask the theme creators also for help.

Any insight as to why this happens would be appreciated.
