Kind regards
Michael
I have a problem with default i-craft search form. It works great, but I get results from only one Woocommerce Category and its subcategories, other categories are not found. Why is that ?
]]>First of all, thanks so much for this great plugin, and it’s free! I appreciate all the effort you put on making it very customizable, that’s very helpful, and not something you can say about many similar paid plugins.
I was wondering if there’s a chance you can add search filters by categories, but with checkboxes, in a way that the user can refine the search by checking or unchecking certain categories. Let me know if this is something you can do. I’m willing to pay for this development, if needed. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!
Martin

]]>I am building a portfolio website for my artwork. I have a menu of pages that hold galleries of my work, and I also want to include a tag cloud of words that describe aspects of the artwork in the galleries. For example, I have artwork using the color “blue” made with “oil” paint, and want to use those descriptions as category options listed in a tag cloud. I’m not sure how I would be able to link the tags to the individual images in the gallery on each page. Is it possible to do this at all using this theme? If not, do you know of another way I can make this? Would I have to make blog posts of each artwork (or a gallery of artwork) with tag descriptions?
I appreciate you help. I love the theme and don’t want to give up on making it work for me!
]]>We have multiple instances of WordPress in our company. I am the responsible to customize each one of them to suit the business needs. There is one of the users who happens to use tons of ‘Categories’ and they rely on it due to some specific needs for their newsletters.
The thing is, while adding a new post, we seen that little search button for “Tags”, this user wanted to have something like that for “Categories”. That search does exist under “Categories” tab, but we wanted to have it in “Add New Post” screen – Edit a Post, while you’re creating/editing a post.
Is there a plugin to do it already? I was not able to find. Also I went through the the .php and .js files and unfortunately I couldn’t find the piece of code for search-tags to try and mock it in ways to add a similar button for search-categories in Add New Post screen.
Please help!
]]>I would like to know if its possible to create an autocomplete for a search bar, that populates with tags and categories in a dropdown list.
Ideally the autocomplete would list up to 3 parent categories for example:
>> Food >> Bread >> Tiptop
>> Food >> Bread >> Wonder White
Also if I was just to type in ‘bread’ the search would need to then provide both the options above. Therefore if I was to type in ‘food’ then all my categories under food would appear in the list like so:
>> Food >> Bread
>> Food >> Cheese
>> Food >> Pizza
If anyone has any knowledge or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Steve
]]>I’m working on building my own theme in which I have a search box. It only returns posts containing the search term. Is there a way without using one of the search plugins to tell wordpress to search categories and pages too?
I tried the search unleashed plugin but it just includes the option to search pages.
I’d like to be able to type in ‘codeigniter’ and have it show the codeigniter category even though there are no posts in it yet. If I knew where to edit the code I could add something to tell the user this category is empty right below the listing. Then if there are posts it should show all posts in that category.
Thanks for any point in the right direction.
