When you go to Directory builder> Search Form > Basic, by default there is “Search Bar”, “Location/Address” and “Category”, the location and category are just BLANK entries. When these are deleted, they can’t be found again! when they are removed, the category and Location fields should go over to the right hand side able to be dragged and dropped back in.
This was brought up on another thread, and responded to as “a site issue”, – its just not true, its a plugin issue.

Please fix this bug, or advise how i can do some sort of reset to get them back.. perhaps you can give me a database entry to get it back. It’s a pretty big design flaw. i mean what’s the point of having a directory if you can’t search by location – I think its better to focus on the basics than worry about a million add on plugins?
I’m knew to your plugin and I’m having some difficulties.
First, I’m using Divi Theme and I’m not sure if the theme is compatible with the plugin.
Second, I’m trying to create the search bar on the homepage, however I need to costumize the fields that appear. I only need to the visitor to search by location, date and features or some type of category (3 fields in total).
Third, all the text used needs to be in Portuguese. Is there a way to translate it or can I add it by myself?
Thank you for all the help you may give me.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,

I’m new with your plugin and I’m having loads of difficulty using it on Divi Theme.
I have a website from a company that will have properties for rent. I need to create a search form for the main page where costumers can fillter the properties by location, type of event and date of the event. I already added costum fields, however, I can’t find the right way to build the search form.
The idea is to have a simple search form, with just those 3 fields and a lenses icon to start the search. Then the costumer will be directed to a new page with the results that match the characteristics of the previous fillter, just like booking.com or airbnb.
Can you please help me?
Thanks
I would like to add optional selectable dropdown category and tag filters to the search form.
When I add this shortcode [searchform dropdown_1=”post_tag” dropdown_2=”category”], all categories and all tags are selectable. I have so many categories and tags. That’s why I want to add only some categories and some tags to these dropdown lists. In this way, it will be both easy to use and pleasant to the eye. How do I add only certain categories/tags?
In addition, the dropdown menus come as “none”. How can we change this “none” texts to “All Categories” and “All Tags”?
The things I mentioned are just UI changes on the form. I hope there are solutions.
Thank you.

I tried copying the
code from wpum/directory.php and placing it on the custom member directory template page but the form does not appear.
Is it possible to place the member directory search form on a custom template page? Can you show a simple example?
