“Save Changes” after searching images doesn’t work

On the ‘Galleries’ page there is a ‘Search images’ option. After searching images, there is a page with the results of the search, and fields for changing the ‘Alt & Title Text/Descriptions’ and ‘Tags’. After changing the ‘Tags’ (or changing the description), I click on ‘Save Changes’, and none of the changes are saved. Instead, everything reverts back to what it was before I made the changes.

Has anybody else had this problem? Do you know of a fix for this? I searched the forum and didn’t find anything.

I have a huge image gallery and I need my visitors to be able to find an image through keywords or attributes, such as color, etc.

Preferably outside/it’s own search area (i.e. search images only). Default media page is fine. But the visitor needs to be able to narrow down the media gallery as much as possible to find the image they are looking for.

I’m using Relevanssi to allow users to search for images — and it works very well for its purpose, but my question is about the search results. It just returns a list of image titles. It would be great if the search results could show the image in the attachment post, not just the post title.

[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] "Search Images" in admin not working

This has not been working since upgrading to NextGEN Version 1.8 and upgrading to NGG 1.8.1 hasn’t helped either. Nor has applying the WP upgrades since 3.1.2 (3.1.3, 3.1.4, 3.2). Here’s the issue…

In the WP Admin, click on “Manage Gallery” in the left column.
Instead of selecting a gallery from the list, type the image name in the top right and click “Search Images”
This displays the image with fields to edit the image info. All good so far.
HOWEVER, after making any edits and clicking the “Save Changes” button, the resultant page title becomes “Search results for “”” (nothing), the image list becomes “No entries found” and the changes are not saved.

The failure in final step #4 above is the issue. Previously, this “Search Images” feature was VERY helpful in being able to navigate to specific images directly without having to go thru the galleries first, especially since I have a LOT of galleries and albums to scroll thru.

Please address this as soon as you can so this plugin can go from “just” “Awesome” back up to “Super-Awesome”. And thanks for creating and maintaining it in the first place!!
