Activation Users?

Hi everyone!

First of all, i love this plugin. But i have some problems with it, when the email confirmation brings the key to activate the account, I is not activated automatically.

is there any option for users to activate their own? there any plugin? anything I can do, because it’s a chore having to go activating one by one.

How to increase days for user to sign up?

Hi, can you tell me how to increase the amount of days that a user can use his invitation before it becomes invalid. I would also need to update other areas to the email stating the how long the invite will be valid etc etc.

I noticed a lot of areas where it might change the time limit but so far I am having little luck in making the correct edits to not only increase the days but to inform the user in the email sent and when they attempt to use an out of date email (which I am assuming it does tell them it’s out of date)

Looking for up to date "secure invites" type plugin

I’ve been looking for a plugin for a private website that only allows registration for people invited by current registered users and I found one called Secure Invites The only problem is this plugin is no longer updated, does anyone know a plugin that does exactly what this one does that is up to date and still being updated. I have no problem paying for a plugin so if it is a paid plugin no probs.

Can anyone make a recommendation? I am having a hella bad time finding one.

Show His/Her Inviter on Buddypress Member's Profile

Hi all,

I really needed to see who invited this user and it’s not easy if you have 100k invitations. So i tried to show the inviter of the member on his/her bp profile.

Well first i thought to create another shortcode function but then i realized that using the current myinviter short code would be a lot easier. Current shortcode show the inviter of currently logged in user. So the members may only see their own inviters.

Here it goes, just paste in your bp theme files (I use it at members/single/member-header.php)

Edit: It won’t show anything if he/she was not invited by anyone.

Secure invites error

Hey guys, semi new to wordpress but working out the kinks i have been using secure invites since day 1, and recently no-one has been receiving the invite emails. Is there a limit to how many can register using this plugin? not sure what made it stop. Thanks in advance.

*about 510 have registered before it stopped sending the emails

I tested this on a site that currently has WP 3.3.2 and BuddyPress 1.5.5 and it didn’t work. Every time I tried to send an invite I got an error suggesting that someone was already registered with that email address. (I know for sure that is not the case.) Also I did not see the options to put the Invite button on any BP pages. (We have a child theme based on the Custom Community theme.)

WP and BP have both had some major updates since this plugin was last updated so I’m speculating that may be the reason for the errors. If this worked as described, it would be very useful to us. So I’m wondering if there are any plans to update this plugin so I can give it another try?

I’d like to edit the page that visitors are taken to to input an invitation code, so that it looks like some custom login pages. To be specific, I’d like https://caskers.com/register to look more like https://caskers.com/welcome.php. It looks like all the CSS in on invitation required page is coming from install.css or install.dev.css, but when I edit those files, the invitation required page does not change.

invite new users using script

This is a quite challenging task I guess. What I’m trying to do is to invite new users to my wordpress with some php script rather than inside the wordpress. Secure Invites seems to be a quite useful plugin except that I need to invite people inside my wordpress.

What this is really missing and I would love to see is if you can award points for inviting new users to the site…. and better yet…. even more points if those users register on the site. do you think this is possible? or even how I can code it to do this now?
