There are several good SEO plugins for WordPress, and many times it becomes a matter of preference but sometimes it can be what you believe works best. I just moved to WordPress a short time ago, and formerly used no such tools for my SEO. Even if you are formally educated like me, you should find this plugin very useful for saving you time. The most beneficial aspect is to see how I am doing as I am working as opposed to finish a few hours of working and then go to scan my page with tools. That is very time-consuming. But, with Rank Math you see what you are doing (or more importantly) what you are not doing as you are typing.

Language about retaining original .htaccess, etc.

Any chance of changing the wording of this? At the moment isn’t not defined what ‘original’ is. Is it the ‘original’ version(s) from the Packages, or the ‘original’ version(s) in place when the installer runs in its destination?

Perhaps it would be better to have “Retain existing .htaccess, .user.ini and web.config”, as it suggests more strongly the destination files will not be touched.

Sorry if this is semantic but I just ran into an issue with this because I couldn’t work out which way round ‘original’ is.

Presently, the Display Header Label is marked up as a paragraph in HTML. Ideally, this header should be an HTML heading, likely an H2. There is a possibility that an author may wish to determine this based on their needs, but an H2 would be a great default. This would benefit low-to-no vision users for accessibility.

WordPress HTML attributes values with different quotes – how to fix this?

I’m new to theme dev, but I try my best to write clean code. And I noticed that WP outputs different quotes to HTML attribute values.

For example, I get lang=”en-US” but at the same futher down the code I see name=’robots’ content=’noindex,follow’.

Why is that? Is there a way to leverage WP to use only ‘ or ” instead of both? I’m aware that standart permits this both ways, but it’s much easier to read code in one style.

I love this easy clean Theme with a great dokumentation, however I have problems with the structured data in semantics.php. I want to mark up only special items (NAP) that’s why I want to turn off the default semantics. Is there an easy way to do that? I tryed some changes but I was not happy with the result from google test tool structured data. Can anyone help me out?

I cannot register with facebook, twitter or linkedin I just get domain DNS did not resolve errors.

Also using the register form I just get “try another username” but nothing I try works?

rel bookmark redundancy

I recently tried my site on Google’s structured data testing tool, and realized that the rel=”bookmark” attribute applied to the first YARPP result is being used by Google as the bookmark for that hEntry instance, rather than the actual rel=”bookmark” for that entry, which occurs in the post meta below where YARPP outputs in the Twenty Twelve theme.

Each hEntry should only have one rel=”bookmark” link applied to it, so it seems as though the YARPP results don’t need the rel=”bookmark” at all, right?
