I am using semilogic and would like to know how to implement class=”articleimg” so that my images are wrapped to my text. Would the following work? And if so, where do I put it in the stylesheet?

URL rewriting problem

Hello,

I am running WordPress with Semilogic Theme and its plugins. Every thing is working fine, But I observe a very unrealistic problem.
when I use Custom “permalinks” through wp-admin->options, and set it to /%category%/%postname%-%post_id%.html
it doesn’t work. Though during my testing i try different combinations, it works for some (occassionly) but next day it stop doing so. Not sure what is the problem.

I can use given options perfectly with my installation.i.e. name bases, numeric all other links are working.

I modified my theme code in order to get an excerpt of any entry.

After this, I’ve installed STATIC-FRONT-PAGE. The problem is that I display an excerpt of the home page too!
I need to display an excerpt of any entry, but i need to display stati front page with full text.

How can I do this?

Hello.
I have modified my code in order to display an extract of any entry.

I’ve installed STATIC-FRONT-PAGE plugin too, and when I display the “home” page, I display an excerpt of these.
I need to display an extract of all entries, but the static-front-page must be displayed full, skipping template layout.

How can I do this?

Can anyone help me sort out a issue with this theme, I need to alter the style.css to ensure that it is centered and no more than 790 pixels wide or if this is not possible 100%

Customizing Semiologic

Hello,

Forgive me for these newbie questions. I would like to change the height on my semiologic navigation bar and header space. Is that possible? Which css file would that be in?

Also I would like to change the font color of the Days (M, T, W, T, etc.) in the calendar. Is that also possible?

Cannot move or edit widgets

I can move them around, type text in them and everything.
When I save the changes, in get a new page asking me if I am sure I want to no/yes.
Clicking yes (or no) sends me to the presentation page and the changes are not saved.
I am using the Semilogic theme but also tried another theme and the same thing happens. Just a different set of widgets. I have tried removing most of the plugins without that changing any thing so far.
I have not seen this yes/no question till this problem started. It does not show up on my other installation when I change widgets around.

Adding a logged in user’s name

I dont’ know if this is the right place to post but I am a total newbie to php and need some help.

I am using wordpress and a plugin known as admin menu for it.

I would like to be able to add the following to the that menu (which is like a bar right at the top of the page).

if a guest comes then welcome guest and ask them to register. and if someone is registered then to say welcome “username”

I have figured out which file (sem-admin-menu.php) and where to add the welcome. but can’t figure out how to get the name from the database and add it to the file.

On line 130 i have added welcome and then after that I think is where I would need to call the information.

I would really appreciate all the help I can get.

On a sidenote: I found the following script and tried it and it works in my sideabar.php file but don’t know how to implement it to the sem-admin-menu.php file.

Help Installing Semilogic free version

Sorry if this is in the wrong area. I’m a super newbie to all of this, even FTP. I’d like to try out the free version of Semilogic Theme and CMS. I don’t understand how. On the software’s page it says:

“Upload the wp-content folder into your WordPress directory — the files will find their way to where they belong
Activate one of the bundled themes and visit your home page — an autoinstall script will do the rest”

That might as well be in Japanese. I use Fantastico to automatically install wordpress. I thought the wp-content folder was installed when Fantastico installed WP

And after that step, how do I “Activate one of the bundled themes”.
