In yoast seo settings in meta title and meta description field I’ve enter the details, meta description is working fine but meta title is not updated as added. <title></title> tag updated as per post title or page title not as per yoast seo meta title.
also in og:title it is working fine. in og:title updating as per yoast seo meta title field.

will you please help me what I’m missing here or how to fix this. also i can’t update it using function.php I allready tried on that.

I submitted a ticket for this a few weeks ago, and as suggested, resubmitted the site map, and also requested indexing again. The Google Search is still not showing the title set in Yoast. Here is a video showing this issue:

The website uses the same theme and plugins as many other sites we manage that do not have this issue (Beaver Builder Child theme). We were using Monster Insights for Google Analytics. I just changed that to Google Site Kit to see if that might help?
Active Plugins: Beaver Builder, Beaver Themer, Beaver Team Pro, Better Search Replace, Cookie Yes, ManageWP, Gravity Forms, Pods, Pods Beaver Themer Add On, Popup Maker, Reidrection, Site Kit, Smash Ballon Instagram Feed, SVG Support, Ultimate Add Ons for Beaver Builder, User Switching, WP Help and Yoast.

Any other suggestions for what might be causing this issue?

Once you put SEO plugin “on”, the title of your page is becoming the SEO Title.
Burt I don’t want it to ! Because My header title should stay the page title (short – Two Words) while SEO plugins are asking long titles !

But this is wrong because I tried it . In fact, I tried every SEO plugins (Yoast; Rank Math and AIOSEO. They all affects the title ! (even AIOSEO) .

I don’t understand why you’re using “%%seo_title%% in header instead of %%title%% ???

So anything I can do ? A snippet ?

I’ve checked the following:

Yoast > Settings > Site Basics: website name is entered
Yoast > Settings > Site Presentation: Organisation name is entered the same
Yoast > Settings > Content type > Posts and Pages: variables include Site Title
Site title is showing in the snippets preview

Any ideas as to what I have missed or why my site title is not showing on seo title in results pages?

I also checked the DB to make sure the title was being saved correctly to the _yoast_wpseo_title meta field and it is.

The search results are displaying the post title for all my pages, posts and my landing pages which all start with LP and have checked to make sure the Yoast SEO Title has the field filled in with the correct title.

Which table is used to store the Yoast SEO title for posts?

It seems the tables are changed and all tables, such as wp_yoast_indexable, not exist in the database any more.

Looking at the header title tags, everything looks good. We updated it many times and checked the uncached version on Google and it looks good. We use Yoast SEO, after uninstalling another SEO plugin. Now we’ve lost all our traffic coming from Google. This happened since 1st of December. This is 10th and nothing seems to be working. Please help!

We are struggling to view the “SEO Title” field in the editing view.

So I get the view as “%%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%” instead of the completed SEO title based on my page name, sitename etc.
