Hi we moved over to a new server and all of a sudden our font on our pdf invoice are messed up.

Can you please assist. We also removed the plugin and reinstalled it again, but it stays the same.

Not working after server migration

I have a client site where the SMTP mail sending became critical at a point. Due to other unrelated exploits on that older server I migrated their account and numerous others to a new server on a different IP address.

I’m noticing now that the email reports we receive are showing ZERO sends via EasyWPsmtp even though I see the system is still sending out email. Do you suspect something needs to be reset? The plugin is present and active and appears to still be configured correctly. The system is still sending out contact form emails and (I believe) responses. But for the past several weeks I see “Sent Past Week = 0” with a down arrow and -100% and as such am concerned.

I had a working WordPress installation on my own self-managed server. I ended up doing a fresh OS installation (Ubuntu Server 22.04) after backing up all files and databases. I freshly installed apache, MariaDB (version 10.6.7), php (version 8.1.2), and php-mysql. I restored existing databases, including my WordPress database, from the backups. I created database users with the same names and same permissions as before. I tested logging in with the WordPress database user and password from the command line. I set up ufw as before, double checking that access to port 3306 is permitted from 127.0.0.1.

I followed the WordPress installation instructions here.

Downloaded latest version of WordPress and unpacked on server. Moved to appropriate folder /var/www/html
Restored database from backup, as mentioned above.
I ran the installation script at https://example.com/wp-admin/install.php
I entered my database name, db username, and db password, which were all tested on the command line to ensure correctness. I’ve tried both localhost and 127.0.0.1 in the host field and confirmed that my database table prefix is, in fact, the default wp_.

I’ve done a ridiculous amount of Googling and searching these forums and I’m at a loss. I can’t get past the “Error establishing database connection” error message. I’ve also tried manually editing wp-config.php and that has the same result.

I’ve consulted the guide to moving WordPress between servers, to make sure I didn’t do steps out of order. Since my domain and all file paths are exactly the same, I’m not seeing any explanation there.

Image Url refers to the old server after service migration

Hi all,

My website has migrated to another server and used different url now. I have updated all the image url and it works for the whole site except for the images inside the lazy block.

I think this issue only happened to the existing images before the server migration. In lazy block editor, I can see it refers to the correct url and able to display the image in the editor. However, once I preview and publish the page, the image refers back to the old server. I also tried to delete the image and reupload but it doesn’t work either.

It works for the newly uploaded images in the new server. I am wondering if there is any way I can update the image link which refers to the old server.

Hello,

We recently migrated our site to a new server. Upon successful migration, Ultimate Member stopped working correctly. If you click the link of one of out users, you receive an error rather a profile.

Ultimate Member prompted us to create its default pages (Login, Profile etc.) even though it had already created them. Something needs to be adjusted. Already checked for plugin conflicts.

My WordPress site was fine until I changed from GoDaddy server to Inmotion server. After migration the site will not load and I get the following errors :

It went from the old version of the site ( https://researchgsdharvarvardedu.mystagingwebsite.com/maps/) to the new version (https://research.gsd.harvard.edu/maps/). I’ve used WP Clone by WP Academy for years and haven’t had any issue for the most part. It’s been a go to, lightweight, no nonsense plugin for migrating sites. Until I had to migrate a WordPress site with the WPML (WordPress Multi-lingual Plugin). The site was translated in Chinese and English, and when I moved things over with WP Clone, it choked, keeled over, and died. What a mess! Then I tried to manually move the DB over, something I’ve done x1000 times. But that didn’t work either. Chinese was effin’ things up. Then I found Duplicator. WPML support reps use it, so I gave it a try. It was a one shot, smooth as silk, no hiccups, multi-lingual migration. Boom! Awesome plugin guys!
