The shift to a paid model feels more like a greedy strategy to squeeze money out of users than a decision to improve the product. The quality of service doesn’t justify the exorbitant price they’re charging. Furthermore, the lack of transparency in communication about this change is unacceptable. We’ve been left in the dark and feel abandoned by a company we once trusted.
Instead of enhancing the user experience, this move seems more focused on lining the pockets of the company behind Jetpack. I feel betrayed and frustrated by this decision, and I’m seeking out more ethical and affordable alternatives to improve my WordPress site. I wouldn’t recommend Jetpack to anyone in its current state unless they’re willing to shell out money for a service that used to be free and reliable.

But, we can’t seem to install them because domain.com doesn’t know who the server is! We hosted it here so why is this problem cropping up and how do we fix it please?
Many thanks,

]]>I contacted my hosting provider, they answered:
When checking, we see that connections to wordfence servers outgoing from our hosting are dropped, while those coming from other addresses go through normally. Unfortunately, we do not know the reason for this behavior of their servers.
We recommend that you contact the technical support of this plugin and find out the reason for blocking (if it is blocking) our address 92.53.96.150 from their side.
Plugin diagnostics shows a red error:
Connectivity Ability to connect to the Wordfence servers and your own site.
Connecting to Wordfence servers (http) OK
Connecting to Wordfence servers (https) wp_remote_post() test to noc1.wordfence.com failed! Response was: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds

]]>Need your help.
I get this message below on shared hosting where my website/s resides under a single WHM IP. The error is:
“Rule Update Failed No rules were updated. Please verify your website can reach the Wordfence servers.”
This happens when I try to update the rules manually or automatically. It’s been like this for weeks now. Went as far as to create a backup of my website and deleted the site and reinstalled wordpress and wordfence only. I am still getting blocked to update the wordfence rules.
WHY is this still happening even on a fresh install. My provider Eukhost states they opened a port to wordfence servers but its not solving nothing.
Help – am I missing something here or should I change my firewall provider on all my 23 shared IP websites.
]]>I’ve been seeing the following message in my dashboard since 7th January and it has me concerned.
The last rules update for the Wordfence Web Application Firewall was unsuccessful. The last successful update check was 07/01/2021 9.46 pm, so this site may be missing new rules added since then. You may wait for the next automatic attempt at 04/02/2021 9.51 pm or try to Manually Update by clicking the “Manually Refresh Rules” button below the Rules list
When I try to manually refresh I get the following message.
No rules were updated. Please verify your website can reach the Wordfence servers.
I’ve tried reactivating Wordfence, but the problem persists.
Can anyone help?
