Is there a way to have the “Share when publishing” toggle off by default. I want to be able to share when publishing just not for every post. I only need to share about 5% of the posts when publishing so toggling it off every time is a pain point.

403 Forbidden when trying to Share

Since the latest plugin update, when someone tries to use one of the jetpack share buttons on my posts pages or if I try to use the facebook share button after writing a new post, I receive a 403 forbidden error on facebook. All of my subscribers are getting the same thing whether it is sent in the subscriber email or if they try to share directly from the site. I did try to deactivate and then reactivate but it did not do anything. I suppose I could just delete the entire thing and reinstall it but I would lose my subscriber names etc? Help please

When I share this post to WhatsApp, the feature image is not shown. Instead, I can only see the logo of my website while sharing the post to WhatsApp. The image requirements are met as per the searches on Google. Note that this does not happen in all of my post. It only happens in a few including:

Site previews show all languages

When we link a page from discord , the preview shown on discord displays the content in all languages , despite we force English language in the URL , e.g. https://gameready.co.il/en

The pages we have are built with Elementor , using a Translatepress feature that integrates with Elementor: the Restrict By Language option , that you see in the screenshot below.

Some paragraphs have the Restrict option to Hebrew only , some to English only. But this is not effective when the page is fetched by discord , indeed the previews ignore the Restrict option , and show even the content in restricted language (in this case Hebrew , so the preview shows both the English content and Hebrew content) . I guess this happens when sharing pages on other socials as well.

Why is this? Is the Restrict feature hiding the content only by Javascript , or CSS ? Is it a Translatepress issue , or an Elementor issue? Or maybe Discord does not detect if some content is hidden by CSS? (if it’s actually hidden by plain CSS , not JS). Let me know thanks

Hello! I’m getting this error when trying to share any post from my wordpress:

[18 DDZZ APRIL DDZZ 2024 16:08:04] [ERROR] Could NOT get short URL. Error: Invalid shortener name given.

The URL ends up being too long, and usually really slow to load when clicked. For example:

https://tuescapedigital.com/?p=4095&utm_source=ReviveOldPost&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ReviveOldPost which redirects to https://t.co/Bhav6Hrj9d which redirects to my post.

Any way to have it post the direct link to my post? Thank you beforehand!
