Rather than say 10 warehouses, I will have 1 warehouse but need hundreds of locations for that warehouse.

Can this plugin handle hundreds of locations?

Essentially the location will be the shelf location in the building where the item is stored for picking.

Today we walk arround the warehouse with a laptop or tablet with each order opened for picking each order’s products for packing and shipping (one at a time). However, as there is no info on the order for the products’ location in our warehouse, we work inefficiently and also make unnecessary mistakes.

It would be great if we on each product could add the product’s location in our stock room and that this came up on the order (preferably for us only, not the customer). It would be even better if the order was sorted by product location and not in the sequence the product was added to the basket, by SKU or product name.

It would be a bonus if one could add instructions to the picker on each product. This is primarilly to aid the extra help which may not know the products that well. Examples of messaging:
1) “TWO PARTS: The product is comprised of a bucket and a lid – make sure you pack both”
2) “BREAK BULK, send only one piece, not a carton of 12”
3) “USER MANUAL: Add user manual found in location: AA-01-01-01”
4) “FRAGILE: Separate parts and pack separately. Use extra bubblewrap”

Our business is small and very basic, but expanding. We want to do it right, but also want to keep our investments and overhead as low as possible. We are not very proficient with programming.

We pick one order at the same time, and each picker does the entire operation from start to finish (picking, printing labels, order processing, etc). There are usually only one or two pickers working at the same time.

With only a few orders each day and a small stock room, it seems it will be easier for the time being to only pack one order at a time rather than multiple at once, even if this means making more than one trip to the same shelf.

We have no need or investment will for scanners, etc. More importantly is to have a solution which requires minimal training, few clicks (page loading time) and which gives great accuracy. Idiot proof!

I’ve searched, but couldn’t find any simple solutions to our problem. Please advice (any and all advice is welcome).

We have over 400 products, and it would be very useful to have native support for a Stock Location within the Stock Management tab for both simple products and variable products.

It is not possible for us to arrange items by SKU (for example), both due to size & weight constraints of our shelves and the items, and adding new line items, so the only real way is to have a free-text Stock Location field against each product & variation.

Any assistance you can provide to adding fields like this (even pointing me in the right direction to add the support so I can submit a Pull Request) will be greatly appreciated – or even better a confirmation that it’s coming in core very shortly!

I actually have 2 questions:

1) I am using the Shelf theme. When I upload my images and select the “image” format, the page automatically doubles my image. I have to use the “standard” format to avoid this. Anyone know why?

2) Pages: When I create a page and try to add content using “Parent, the content does not show up on the page. In fact I can’t find it anywhere. Anyone know why?

I am having issues installing aNobii.
I can not find my user id only my name url. The instructions that came with the plugin aren’t much help either. They say that I should be able to get my numeric id from my rss feed, but no such luck. When I hover over the rss link on anobii, I don’t see a relevant number id. Is there anyone out there to walk me through this process?

I was able to get the shelf to open and close and have formatted my content into three columns using a width of 30% and float left command:

For some reason, the text in the middle column is clickable. I am not sure why that is and I have searched the header (which calls for the shelf), the shelf and the corresponding CSS code. Any hints/tips?
