Can’t find manage button to use ShiftThis plugin?

I installed ShiftThis’s Order Pages.

It says go to Manage > Order Pages
I cannot find Manage anywhere at all on my Dashboard.
I am using version 2.8.5.

Please tell me where it is? Thanks!

This is a post to warn anyone considering the use of the SHIFT This “Newsletter” plugin to NOT do it.

There is NO support. NONE, NADA, LESS THAN ZERO.

You’ll get personal email suggesting how great it is to SELL you on it, but after your $$ is gone, ZERO email. Marcus has reopened his forum but discontinued his contact form… what does that say to you?

And if you go to the forum and post… you won’t get answers… the documentation is lame and the developer worse.

THIS IS A COMMERCIAL PLUGIN. Or so the developer sells it as. Too bad the developer isn’t professional.

DON’T BUY IT. Read the forum.

I have purchased the ShiftThis newsletter plugin for a client, and have spent a year trying to get it to work. The program always performs well with test addresses, but has never ONCE failed to get stuck in the middle of sending to my actual mailing list. I have written to the developer, requesting support, at least half a dozen times. I have gotten only one response to the tune of “um, it should be working”, and no answer at all since I have started sending him logs and screenshots. This is extremely unprofessional behavior. I strongly recommend that you do NOT spend money on any of his products – they do not work, and he will not provide support.

Include Javascript in Text Inserted by Plugin

How could I modify a plugin that posts text to the blog to have it insert javascript and not just plain old html?

I’m specifically thinking of the shiftthis image caption plugin, which inserts a caption automatically under every image. I want to make it insert adsense js under the caption.

Hi everyone,

I’ve literally spent days trying to get email working on my wordpress. None of the options I have tried have worked which to me suggests maybe I have something fundamental wrong like sending mail permissions or something? I know my SMTP details are correct, so that is not the problem.

The error I get in ShiftThis is:

Connection to the given MTA failed. The Connection Interface said: Permission denied

I’ve google’d and yahoo’d and I cannot find anywhere anyone with this error.

With wpphpmailer I just get the “your host may have disabled the mail() function” error.

I’ve tried various different SMTP setting with the same result…

To check I setup email on the fedora server with the same SMTP settings and it sent mail fine.

For info this is on Fedora Core 6/Apache/PHP5.

If anyone can shed some light or give me some new ideas to try I’d really appreciate it because I’ve now come to a complete dead end!

ShiftThis WordPress Newsletter Plugin – email requirements

I’m extremely interested in getting the excellent looking newsletter plugin from ShiftThis.

But I’m not clear on what I need to do to enable the use of it properly.

My site (www.clubketchup.com) is hosted on BlueHost and they offer either Horde or Squirrelmail from what I can see.

Am I right in thinking that I would need one of these accounts in order to use ShiftThis newsletter? I’m very new to this and not a techie person unfortunately.

I’m using the ShiftThis Newsletter 1.5 plugin recently released. So far it looks great, except when I try to send a newsletter I get

Warning: fopen(test.htm): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/directory/wp-content/plugins/st_newsletter/shiftthis-pages.php on line 229
can’t open file

ANyone else using the plugin and getting this?
The author is on vacation!
