Give Shop Manager permission to change custom fields

I want to give my Woocommerce Shop Manager permission to manually update “Custom Fields” on the edit product screen, such as “total_sales”. Is this possible without making them a site admin? I have a user role editor, with all Woo permissions enabled (this seems to be the default). I’m not seeing any other permission that matches. Is there another plugin maybe?

Shop Manager / Delete Media

My shop manager is lacking the ability to delete media (photos). When i look at the details of the role’s capabilities, it seems that he should be able to do this. He can go into media, check photos to delete, and click delete, but they dont get deleted! Is there any way to fix this?
I would like him to have this ability so he can help remove unneeded files and free up disc space in my shop!

YouTube Embedded Video on Product Description Vanishes

Hi Team,

I am experiencing a very unique problem. Our products have embedded videos on the description (from our YouTube channel) to better demonstrate the products. However, when Shop Manager role edits/updates the product date (like price, stock etc.), the video is stripped out and lost.

If Admin edits the products, it retains the original info.

We do have few Shop Managers who does the product price, stock updates.

Question

How to preserve the embedded video on updates by shop manager?

Shop Manager is not updating Rank Math Seo fields

I have a Woocommerce store. I also use Rank Math plugin for SEO.

When you enter the site as a Shop Manager. When I fill in fields such as Title, Description, Focus Keyword in the Rank Math Seo section while uploading a product and when I save or publish the product, these fields are not updated.

It is updated when I log in to the site as admin.

Close the wordfence plugin. When I log in as Shop Manager, these fields are updated.

I think Wordfence prevents me from updating these fields when logged in as Store Administrator, what is the reason for this? Is this a bug?

When I try to create a new Lookbook logged in as other user like ‘Shop Manager’ (except Administration), it doesn’t let me search for my products and add them as new node.

Hi there,

I’m trying to change the permissions of the shop manager role, I just want to remove the edit/delete users capabilitie. But with user role editor plugin this shows that the role already doesnt have this permission, but the manager still have the permission to edit/delete users.

How do i remove this permissions? i have a child theme to hook if needed.

Hi there, is the WCFM shop manager role same the woocommerce shop manager?

because i’m trying to change the permissions of this role, what is perfectly possible with some woocommerce hook, but i think wcfm is interfiring on its role’s permissions. I just want to remove the edit/delete users capabilitie without group and staffs if possible.

We have a custom Shop Manager role set up in WPFront. In any Woocommerce order, there is a link to Profile on the order page (in the order details section, directly above the selected customer dropdown), which gives access to that user’s data, including the ability to reset the user’s password. Is there a Capability that we can turn off to prevent access to the Profile by our custom Shop Managers? Thanks.

Thanks for the great plugin.
It works without any problems.

We just added a new WordPress user.
He has the WooCommerce role “Shop Manager” and cannot manage redirects.

The menu item in the backend is not visible.

We have already read in the support forum that we can change the permissions.
e.g. edit_posts.

However, that would be too broad for us.

Is it possible to grant authorization to a user ID for this too?
Or (if necessary) for the entire WooCommerce “Shop Manager” role?

We know how to insert PHP code.
We look forward to suggestions.
Maybe somehow is possible.

Hello, thank you for the great plugin I have purchased a licence as well. I found a small issue where the woo shop manager role can see the BEAR editor tab and see the dashboard pages but can’t make any changes via the bulk editor as it shows up with access denied.

I’m assuming the permission to make changes should be granted to the Shop Manager role? How can I go about giving the shop manager access to edit cia the bulk editor?
