Both Sidebar and Showcase sidebars showing on Homepage – overlapping

This is my page… as you can see both the showcase sidebar and the “Sidebar” sidebar templates are showing up on top of one another!

The “Showcase” template is selected for the Homepage, and the “Sidebar” template for my other pages. So I can’t figure out why both of them are showing up on my Homepage!
This is a new problem, since I installed some updates.

twentyeleven V2.2 doesn't show sidebar

Just updated to twentyeleven V2.2 but it doesn’t show sidebar. Nor the sidebar widget in dashboard?

WP 3.6.1 updated & plugins/widgets do not work anymore

Hello all,

I updated WP 3.6.1 from the latest version, but unfortunately the plugins / sidebar widgets cannot be opened anymore in order to alter information and/or add posts.
It does not show ‘on the outside’, so to speak. But from now on the site cannot be altered anymore with new (findable) information.

Widgets a.o.: WP relevant Video Player, AVH ext. categories, showcase sidebar, Footer area one & two

Who has the solution?

Some minor issues need help

Hi,
At first I would like to congratulate and thank you for lovely theme.
I’m using it on my personal blog https://www.vinodrawat.com, having some minor issues, need your support

1. I want to remove category text and want to display additional 3rd column (hidden as of now partially visible), as in your demo site
2. In Widgets – Showcase Sidebar is unable to display any dropped widget in front end.
3. In my video blog category https://vinodrawat.com/category/video-blog/ – is there any option I can adjust width of all videos at once as per your theme ? – I’ve Installed video quicktags plugin as required by your theme. But still video posts are over sized.
4. Unable to post to facebook and like as well.
5. Featured image not displayed in Post, need to add manually again when Using upload media –> set as featured image reloads whole page.
7. Audio Player not automatically inserted, media uploads (MP3) are going to wordpress default upload folder instead of folder defined in Audio player settings.

Subscribe2: Only one widget?

Recently installed Subscribe2 plug in and installed widget on my Main Sidebar. Works great! Trouble is I’d like to also put the widget on my Showcase Sidebar but there’s no widget available in my “available widget” section. It’s as if I’m only allowed to use the widget in one spot. (Side note: There’s more than one Subscribe2 Counter widgets which I find odd.)

Any ideas?

Showcase Sidebar Not Visible

I have a pretty plain WordPress 3.3.1 install with the stock twentyeleven theme. I dragged and dropped (via Appearance/Widgets) the Calendar to the Showcase Sidebar and clicked the Save button.

I expected to see the calendar on the Showcase Sidebar but I don’t see any change.

What am I missing?

Update: Actually, I can’t see now even the Main Sidebar. I could swear I saw it working. And yes – I tried the 3 different “Default Layout” settings in Appearance/Theme Options.

Also, I am using a *child* theme of twenteyelven (style.css only)

Twenty Eleven Theme

I am a newbee playing around learning wordpress and blogging wanting to eventually have a website as opposed to a blog. I found this once, but forgot where I found it. In the twenty eleven theme it seems you can have a main sidebar or a showcase sidebar (along with the 3 footers). Where is the spot where I can specify either the main or showcase sidebar? Thanks for all your help.
