I’m using the WP Simple Shopping Cart for purchases on a new website I’m building (it’s still under construction).
PayPal payments seem to work ok, and both the Buyer and the Seller are receiving confirmation emails from PayPal for the sale, when I run a test. BUT the notification emails that the plugin is supposed to send are NOT being sent.
The order appears correctly in Cart Orders, but the ‘Buyer Email Sent?’ field on the order review page says “no”.
I have ticked the ‘Send Emails to Buyer After Purchase’ check box, and the ‘Send Emails to Seller After Purchase’ check box, in the Email Settings.
I have checked the PayPal IPN Notification in the seller account, and it is switched on and working correctly.
Everything looks ok in the debug file. The only mention of a notification email is this entry: “Applying filter – wspsc_buyer_notification_email_body”
There is definitely nothing in the email Spam folders.
Any ideas what might be going wrong?
Many thanks,
Anna
Otherwise a very good plugin
Unlike US paypal, the Australian version doesn’t appear to be able to restrict to specific shipping destinations. I contacted them, and they implied I need to do it through the website.
As a first step, I tried changing the default country to AU:
I had a look at HTML variables supported by paypal which suggests I should be able to pass the variable “country” to Paypal, so I inserted
`
into wspsc-cart-functions.php at line 193, but it didn’t change the default on the checkout-with-credit-card page.
So, is there a way of excluding international orders, or at least a workaround?
Regards,
Tony

The issue:
The last 3 times that one of my regular customers has submitted his order, the variations did not show up on any of the dozens of items he ordered. Every other customer’s order has come through fine. He said that he is using Firefox 40.0.2 (as am I but I cannot replicate the problem), Mac OSX 10.9.5, and he says that the variations do not show up in his cart at all even before checkout.
Additional information:
I am using the WordPress 4.3 with Atahualpa theme 3.7.24 and Simple Paypal Shopping Cart 4.1.2. I have not added any new plugins in months and this issue first occurred on 8-13-15. My website is https://columbus.grocerygazelle.com/
Sorry if I gave too much or too little information… I’ve never posted a support request before. I did review past threads and didn’t see any similar issues. Please let me know if you know what is causing this problem and if there is any way to get his carts to show variations again. Thank you in advance!

I just installed this plugin. Two issues:
1) the “add to cart” button shortcode shows the button just fine, but when you click on it it just reloads the page.
I have entered in my paypal account info, and it is a valid paypal account address. Link to the page on which button appears: https://www.etheriafilmnight.com/reel-grrls-fundraising-mixer/
I have tried it with the “Open Paypal Checkout Page” both selected and unselected. I deactivated WP Super Cache, hoping that was the issue. It seems that the button just goes – nowhere.
2) Shopping cart symbol will not appear, even though I have made sure it was not deliberately hidden in the options.
Any ideas? Latest version of everything up to today.
