I need a ‘plain vanilla’ theme

Hi all

Can anyone recommend a simple theme. I would like to use classic editor. I just want a few pages as per existing Astra site plus some blog pages. No shop, no fireworks just a workmanlike website.

I do not need AI, blocks, Gutenberg, spectre or anything else that just complicates an already painful process. I don’t mind paying for a theme but I do mind spending days getting nowhere.

I don’t do this for a living so I don’t have advanced skills, not any interest in the process.

Does it need to be so awful?

Okay, a beginner here.
I have found it difficult to locate a practical beginners tutorial of a basic/common/newer free wordpress theme to practice with. My eyes are bug-eyed searching through them.
Most (seem to be) easy, but I am one of those that need a little extra to break the learning-curve.

Question:
Does anyone know of a great simple tutorial using a basic/common WordPress theme, preferably within the E-commerce field, that actually ends up like the tutorial shows?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Really stunning, professional minimalism at work. Like little diary entries, so adorable. Unisex, however, so don’t let my gushiness confuse you. This will work with any audience. Perhaps a suggestion is to add the option of a sidebar, to present key information or links to other posts there so they get more notice. The only reason I am not currently using this theme is I have ties to the owner of my current theme. However it is compelling to switch, for my poetry blog would probably do well with this formatting. Keep up the marvelous work, guys.

Fatal Error in Simple Theme CSS

Hi.

I am using the current version of WooCommerce PDF Invoices and Packing Slips plugin, with updated WooCommerce and php 7.3.

I was going to change the font in my Simple Theme folder (I had copied it to my woocommerce theme folder), when I noticed there is an error in the style.css. It reads: Fatal Error, cannot continue: undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘u[t]=1’)

Please let me know how to handle this error. I have not edited any css at this point.
