I set the first email in the “Settings and messages”->welcome section
and the second email in the “Welcome email” section but I only receive the one in this last field.
I can’t figure out if it’s a bug or the plugin doesn’t send 2 emails. and if it doesn’t, is it possible to do it with a custom code?
]]>The closest thread I found was this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/single-opt-in-on-contact-form-7/
But it does not provide a solution at all. The plugin I had before was “MailChimp for Woocommerce” and that one does single opt-in right from the checkout screen.
Furthermore, in any case we were to stick with the double opt-in, there’s no option to override the subscriber’s group with the new one. It instead adds the subscriber in both groups. I can see that option from your form builder, but not for the woocommerce or contact form 7.
Ideal objective: Clients that sign up to purchase a service and wish to receive emails may opt in via a checkbox during checkout and will be added to the “active” group. However, let’s say they stop using the service, so they request a cancellation via a contact form 7 and they get added to the “inactive” group. All members in both groups would be able to unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of each email.
]]>Is there a way to use this plugin with single opt-in?
I like how this plugin works with my theme’s styling, and don’t want to switch to something else. But single opt-in is more important to me than that, so I’ll need to find an alternative if this can’t be forced to do single opt-in.
Thanks!
]]>I really hope someone can help me! I’m trying to use Yikes because I need a single opt-in subscription form.. but so far, I can’t get the plugin to work!
YIKES Inc. Easy Forms for MailChimp requires a minimum of PHP 5.3. The plugin will not function properly until you update. Reach out to your host provider for assistance.
The error message I get is well known by the looks of it – but I have confirmed with my hosting provider that we have been updated to PHP 5.5. He says:
“Check your PUBLIC_HTML htaccess file as im guessing its overwriting the new one on the server…
Inside the public_html folder open the .htaccess file and change it to 55”
I don’t know how to do this from the dashboard – please can you help?
