Site hacked and strange theme file will not delet

My website was hacked at the weekend and a theme installed called Twenty Fifteen/xedirvcveo causing all sorts of issues. There is also a box saying “Broken Theme 43670q97Stylesheet is missing” with a delete button I have not touched. I only had wp all in one security at that stage but installed Wordfence free version to try and clean up my site. I cleaned up the malware and file changes using Wordfence scan and a new scan showed no more issues, however the dodgy Twenty Fifteen theme is still there. Today I signed back in, did a new scan and there were 8 more malicious files which I again deleted. I assume that the dodgy theme (which I haven’t tried to click on) installed is the issue – and although Wordfence deleted files with that name it’s still there. I am not a technically minded person so any advice on what I should do next would be much appreciated. Many thanks

Hi,

I use a Godaddy domain with managed WordPress hosting. My Godaddy account was hacked and my login credentials were changed. The hacker had even activated the 2 step authentication. I had no clue about it because I would always login to my site through wordpress.com and had no problem using the site in any ways during the time it was hacked.
I have no technical knowledge what so ever, but I started noticing very strange redirect from my WP admin dashboard. Wherever I click on the admin page would open a new tab to a different site. It happens at random and even works on right clicks! The same thing is happening on the front end as well. I tried everything possible like deactivating all plugins and activating them one by one, changing passwords, changing the theme, removing expired plugins, installing wordfence etc. Finally when I tried logging in through Godaddy I realized my account was hacked.
I have got my Godaady account sorted but the problem is still happening. I spoke to the GoDaddy customer care several times, but unfortunately they couldn’t help in any ways. In fact it was such a wastage of time trying to talk and chat with them because they couldn’t even understand the problem.
I did a full system anti virus scan and it’s not showing any issues. But even today when I click anywhere on my site it redirects to a different site in a new tab!

I cannot temper with any of the files and have absolutely no clue how to fix it and I am really worried. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I got an alert from Wordfence informing me that a new Admin user was created which I did not recognised. I immediately deleted this user and updated all the plug-ins. I then noticed that some features of the website were off, but I do not know if it was due to the plug-in updates, or was my site hacked?
I would like to retrieve information about this deleted user because it could be someone working for our previous site maintenance provider. Can I check this information: user name, user date creation, email account?
I’m an Admin user and tried to look for this in users section but could not find an option to restore or check deleted users.
In the meantime, I ran some scans, activated new security plugins, changed passwords and everything seems to be fine with the site, so I feel like we were not hacked; but I would still like to know who this new user was, and how it was created.

Hi – I’m at a complete loss at what to do. On April 16 or 17, my site was completely hacked. So that on google my business it shows:
www.keithfcarr.net equals to https://www.sumaiddea.xyz/mart/detail/m0309320782009.html

No matter which page, this is what it shows. What do you suggest that I do at this point?

I have Colormag installed on 2 sites.
www.herbalcollective.news.

www.vancouverislandparksandtrails.

The ThemeGrill plugin that came with the theme for updates was hacked and hackers crashed my site at vancouverislandparksandtrails.

My main site wasn’t hacked, thank goodness.

I need to update the theme and need to know if I need the plugin to do so.
I have since deleted the plugin as I don’t want hackers coming in the back door.

I need to know how secure my site is with the current Colormag.

Google Rejects Ads Because of Malicious Or Unwanted Software. SITE IS CLEAN

Hey guys,

I have issue with Google ads, all my ads disapproved because of malicious or unwanted software on my website. I scanned my website with these plugins – Anti Malware, Wordfence, Sucuri, Quttera and its CLEAN. I contacted Google Support and they answer me that it seems that your site (landing page) redirects users to malicious links OR triggered when clicked. They sent me 3 malicious links that my site redirect. I contacted Siteground support they fully scanned my site and nothing found. On Google Search Console no errors at all, I really didint get thats wrong. I even tried to delete all plugins and reinstalled wordpress and still it doesnt work. Please maybe anyone have suggestions that I should do? I’m feeling frustrated about this situation
