Hi,

I’ve followed all the troubleshoot guides. Indexed my site https://www.my-stylist.co.uk/ and i’m getting Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ in Google Console for all but 6 pages.

Submitted Yoast Sitemap to Google Console.

1.I’ve checked all the pages manually in WP and all are set to show in search engines
2.Checked the header of the http can’t find no index
3. Searched the source code of pages can’t find no index

Here are my robot txt files settings:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /wp-admin/
Disallow: /wp-content/plugins/
Disallow: /readme.html
Allow: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php
Allow:/wp-content/uploads/

Sitemap:https://www.my-stylist.co.uk/page-sitemap.xml

Any help solving this much appreciated

My SEO plugin says that my site cannot be indexed. They indicate that it could be that “…you have a robots.txt file that’s blocking indexation, it could be that your theme has some code in it that’s blocking search engines.”

Would you be able to look into this to see what the issue could be?

Hello, I know it’s off-topic but I am asking it from my curiosity. I have searched for this question couple of times but didn’t found any appropriate solution.

My Question: If I forget to check “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” at Settings > Reading and Google bots crawled my site’s demo contents will it be harmful for my site’s seo?

What should I do when I suddenly discover this after completing my site that I forget to check this during I built the site?

I think it’s much harmful for seo if Google bots crawl my site’s contents when I am developing it in a temporary domain (Web development environment. Such as: sub domains.)

So If I know what should I do If I forget to check “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” during I develop the site I think I can overcome all this problems.

Waiting for appropriate answer from an expert.

Site not being crawled

I have a local community blog https://www.pontevedrafocus.com that has been up for several months. For some reason it’s not getting indexed by Google. I have SEO by Yoast installed and figured that would do what it needs to. But, it’s not working. I’m not enhancing posts with keywords, as I figured the content would do the trick. But you can search on words used in older blog entries, and the articles aren’t coming up.

I’m really not sure what to look for to see why the site isn’t coming up on search terms that it should.

I’m not interested in being contacted by SEO companies. This is a labor of love, and I don’t have a budget for that. Just some straightforward tips would be appreciated.

The robots.txt file says the following:
User-agent: *
Crawl-delay: 1
Disallow: /wp-content/plugins/
Disallow: /wp-admin/

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All,

Google is not indexing my site, says it’s being blocked by robot.txt. I didn’t have a robot.txt file on my server, I added one to tell google to index the site and it only seemed to index the homepage. All other pages are still blocked. I have removed the request to have, “Discourage search engines from indexing this site”. I’ve generated a few sitemap.xml files and tested them on google webmaster tool and it keeps saying there is a robot blocking google. Please help.

new site (about two weeks online) that doesn’t seem to be getting indexed. Google doesn’t recognize it and neither does yahoo. Not sure what is going wrong, any ideas?
