Wordfence is causing site problems

Hey,

Wordfence is causing site problems. So I have tried to investigate the problem further and have come to the following. The problem may be the wordfenece security plugin. Since I have tried switching to other themes, reset wordfence settings to deafult and disabeling all plings except wordfence.

Anyone who have experienced something similar or know about this problem?

communication issue with jetpack

Hi guys!

I am new to WordPress and the set-up.

I was wondering about this message error that was seen on my plugin:

It seems that your site cannot communicate properly with Jetpack.

I have tried all 4 options…

I even updated my wordpress to latest versions already.

However, I have noticed that my jetpack is in development mode and cannot access to some features because it is not connected to jetpack!

However, I have set up my wordpress on local server on my computer… I haven’t buy domain names and the hosting plan yet because I want to make sure that nothing fails before having it live without any problems. I cannot access wp-config.php file on ftp nor I try to find hidden files on mac bc I worry about the damage on computer.

And I am glad that there’s debug file here, but I wish to know if there’s any problems before I proceed to fixing more things on my website.

Something weird is going on

The landing page is messed up. If you click on a post, when it opens it’s how it should be. If you click on the header to go back to the home page it’s messed up.

Two days ago I came across a ‘WP mobile something’ and installed it (Plug-in? I don’t remember…It would make it easy to view my website on phones/tablets etc.) I also added a plug-in right after called “Widgetize Pages Light”. Everything was working fine, then the next day I noticed that everything was messed up.

When I open my website on my phone it’s all dark and weird. The white posts background is gone and my page background was in it’s place and you can’t read any of my posts and there are missing widgets too. I thought it was only the mobile part because my site was fine on my computer. I then realized that if I went to my site in “incognito”, where I’m not logged in as admin, the page was just the same as the phone all dark and weird.

I restored my plug-ins to last weeks save (when my site was fine), emptied all caches and it was back to normal. But this morning it’s back to messed up. And still, if I go to my site as admin it’s perfectly fine but if I’m logged out, it’s a mess. WHY IS THIS?? Obviously this is what the public is viewing and it’s all messed up! I need help!
(I’m using the Graphene theme.)

(When I came across the ‘WP mobile..’ I was looking for something else and just saw it and thought it would be good to have. I know it’s dumb of me but I’m very novice at all this website stuff And it was working fine at first! A more friendly mobile user experience… until it wasn’t What’s weird is that I couldn’t find anything in my plug-ins that would be this ‘WP mobile whatever’ I thought it was a plug-in… )

Anyone know what I should do???

Updated Theme, Site Messed Up and Cannot get to Dashboard

I finally got my website working after having other troubles. Then I updated my theme, which had come out with a new version. Now my site is messed up. It’s just the grey background, with all the text from the page, like the posts, and the menu, but nothing else.

Hi,

Let me start by saying I am a complete wordpress NOVICE! my site was previously hosted by wordpress.com and i was able to understand and use the dashboard and all the options just fine to edit and run my blog – but I was advised that if i wanted to be able to have full customization control over my blog, that after purchasing the domain I would need to point the DNS to a host server.

So this is what I did, I pointed the DNS for my blog to bluehost (my partner has a bluehost account – so I am now hosting my blog on his account) I wasn’t able to completely transfer it over as I’ve only just purchased the domain name, and wordpress.com say you cant transfer it for 60days after purchasing a domain.

Anyways during this weekend, I imported all my blog content onto the new self-hosted site and have been customizing the site (fonts,colours layout etc) – i must say my site has been EXTREMELY slow and some of the changes I’ve been making had not taken affect

now this morning I tried to access my blog and have been greeted by this error message:

HELP! Hello, I recently changed my domain name from test.brookewartell.com to brookewartell.com. I actually called Godaddy.com (where my site is hosted) and they made the switch for me on their end.

The problem is, since the switch, I’ve been encountering problems they say they can’t fix. They are WordPress problems. I have read some documentation in codex that has fixed one problem, but the other documentation I’ve found is confusing me.

My main issues now are:

– When reloading the page (and sometimes when viewing it for the first time), a website does not show up, only a list of words that were on the site. What can I do to make the website show up correctly each time?

– When the website does show up as it should, my menus are gone. I have 3 menus with the theme I’m using, 2 at the top and one in the footer and none of them show up at all.

– None of my pictures are showing up. I looked in the media section and they all still have the old url as the location of the media files. I have installed the Velvet Blues Update URLs plugin per instructions from some of the codex documentation, but that did not work. It said “Success your URLs have been updated” but nothing changed. I logged out, logged back in, still nothing. The old URLs are still showing as the location for the media files.

Can anyone give me any help? I have created this site for a client, switched it over and now I’m having these major problems. I really need some help with this please.

Website not loading but the dashboard works

Hi, I’ve been running elsilenciero.com (hosted on godaddy) for +2 years without problems until yesterday when the main page stopped loading at all, sans the favicon. This was out of the blue, no modifications were made to the site prior.

Now, I can still get on the dashboard normally. I disabled plug-ins but no dice. Last night I could access any page that wasn’t the index (elsilenciero.com/2011) and it would load normally, but today not even that. Any URL displays a blank page and the site seems to be up (isitdownorjustme kind of services tell me it’s up and running).

I haven’t upgraded to 3.3 because it gives me the following message

Could not copy file.: D:/Hosting/4960075/html/index.php

Installation Failed

Godaddy customer servicve told me it was something on my end, but it’s weird since I’ve done no modifications. I don’t know if it’s because of an external attack, or godaddy changed its settings or wordpress is messing with it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
