There is a great product called slideshow pro director which is a PHP gallery backend for a popular web slideshow system. It also uses mysql. I think it would be an ideal candidate for CloudSE.

It’s a well-written product with lots of potential, but unfortunately the developer is missing in action from the forums.

It’s main claim to fame is that it creates a 1:1 pixel version of each image for the target display device regardless of size and it can also do this for fullscreen. I am a photographer and I searched high and low for a system that would do this because all other systems introduce perceived blur due to image stretching if you wan to show fullscreen.

slideshow pro 2.4 version not working

I installed slideshow pro slider and activate. I also uploaded 5 images in slider. I used in my header.php page. slider frame is appearing without images. Images are not appearing with slider frame.

Wonder if you can point me in the right direction as I am not sure there is a “bug” with ss pro or an issue with my Artisteer generated theme (latest version of wp and artisteer). SS Pro perfectly displays my simple slide show on www.visioninlight.com BUT there is a black border down the left hand side of the TEST image on the home page and the previous navigation arrow does not line up with the left hand edge of the image.

Any ideas?

slideshow gallery issues

Hello,

I am having the following issue with the Slideshow Gallery plugin and even with the Slideshow pro gallery plugin in my current wordpress site.

I have all of my images setup in the manage slideshow portion of the admin panel… however the slideshow is showing images that I have further down in the post that I have the slideshow on the top. So in other words it is displaying images from other portions of the post and not the images that I have setup in the ‘manage slideshow’ portion of the admin control panel.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, can anyone offer advice on how to fix this problem?

Slideshow pro swf not showing in WordPress 3.0

I created a slideshow in flash with slideshow pro.. when i preview the swf in flash everything works fine.

i am trying to use this swf in my header file of my theme. however, all other components of the flash except the slideshow pro components are showing up… i used absolute links including in my fla file as wel as my xml file… i can access all the files INDEPENDENTLY via my browser, so i know the directories are accessible. I do not want to use a plugin for this as i have done this several times before up to version 2.9.

is there an issue with slideshow pro or SWF in version 3.0 that i am not aware of?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi,

I’m having no luck getting a response from anyone at Slideshow Pro, sent 3 messages so far and I’ve checked the documentation and forums. It appears that there are issues with linking images to pages. I tried adding the link to a page from within the Media Gallery (in the Description box, which is very inconvenient) but it’s opening pages in a new window.

Does anyone know how to open a page in the same window?

SlideShow Pro is not loading the correct XML document

I’m working with a trial version of SlideShow Pro to try and integrate it with NextGen Gallery.
I modified NGG FlashViewer to generate the necessary XML and pass the correct FlashVars to SWFObject, which I use to load slideshowpro.swf.

BUT… when I examine traffic using FireBug, I see that SSPro is still looking for the default images.xml file, which is what it uses without extra params.

I DID get this working once, but I can’t seem to repeat it. I don’t understand why it won’t work again.

I’d really like to get this working, since NextGen Gallery is a great way to manage photo galleries, and SSP is a wonderful way to display them…

So far I have integrating Slideshow Pro into WordPress. Using the Kimili Flash Embed plugin and this code:

Flash slideshow not displaying properly
