All theme design gone… can't reach WP Dashboard

Hi guys,

– All theme design formatting is gone.
– I can not reach the Dashboard, although I’m still logged in with my admin status.
– Any log-in on browser cached links is redirected.
– All my content, both text on pages, links, posts and images, are now crammed into one long page.

What did I do to get slammed with this? Well, I fiddled with the Slidingdoor Theme (link at the bottom of the page) and noticed I had two pages called “home”, so I tried to fix that by giving them different names through the theme’s customization interface.

Any suggestions how I can now log in on the WP Dashboard and maybe change theme or adjust the WP pages naming?

Sliding Door no longer displaying in Safari 8.0.4

I have Sliding Door installed and my business site basically set up. It looks great and we love it.

However, this evening after updating to Safari 8.0.4 my site now shows a blank white page. *The site displays fine in Chrome and Firefox (which is good.. but)

I can switch to one of those two browsers but this is troubling for customers/clients that come to the site using Safari. Any fix for this?

Can anyone help??

Child theme not working

I am trying to create a child theme for a customised version 2.6 of this theme. It completely breaks everything and doesn’t seem to recognise any of the style.css file.

I’ve tried a lot of different things with this and it simply won’t work at all.
Issues with child theme:
– Left hand column takes up the entire width of the page.
– header image does not show up.
– slider images have reverted back to theme ones.
– all content is pushed below what should be the left hand column.

I also downloaded the new version of the theme and that won’t work either all my formatting and colour schemes are gone if I activate it.

Theme Version 3.0.9 issues
– Text menu lists everything in one large block rather than incorporating the drop down features it used to have.
– colour scheme and header image have disappeared

Is there an issue with the theme that is causing this to not function properly??
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Adding a number next to each comment

I’ve got a blog that has a high amount of comments and I want to add a number next to each comment posted.
Like it does on here:https://wphacks.com/how-to-adding-comment-numbers-to-your-wordpress-theme/
(That is for an old version of WP)

The Sliding Door theme uses the same functions and comments.php that WordPress Twenty Eleven has and I don’t know where to start.
Could anybody help ?

[Plugin: Polylang] Conflict on upgrading Sliding Door theme

Currently putting together a site to be seen in four languages.
“Polylang v 0.8.9” is brilliant. Easy to use and worked a treat until…

…I upgraded my theme “Slidingdoor” to version 3 .0 .3

The menu dropdowns don’t work in conjunction with the WordPress “Menu” and the Polylang “Menu Language” options. First level menus are fine, sub menus are absent.

They all worked fine on the previous issue of Slidingdoor.

I’m not a coder but I’m comfortable messing – I can see or find nothing to change.

I’m wondering if you have any idea how I can recover the dropdown functionality? If you think you can, please let me know what YOU need to know from me.

I am using Zdmultilang plug-in and it works well so far. the only problem is that I am using the wordpress theme ‘slidingdoor’ and the hyperlinks on the sliding images should be changed from https://classic.sp-yachts.com/?cat=8 to https://classic.sp-yachts.com/?cat=8&lang=en as much as it does on the sidebar.

Could you help me writing the write word on the header.php to make it select the right category and the right lang?

Slidingdoor Theme Page Titles

Hi, I’ve been working with the Slidingdoor Theme, which is incredible. I have two questions.
I noticed that on many sites using this theme that the pages are listed under the Slidingdoor pics. I don’t have that and was wondering if I am missing the code or if someone could please supply it, including the location where it should be posted.

Secondly, I have searched over and over again and changed every font in the stylesheet to change the font size of “One Reply” which I found in Firebug is controlled by

How would I get rid of the comment link on pages. I know if I select do not allow comments I still see a Comments are closed, How would I get rid of that on pages?

Too much space and getting rid of comments in Sliding Door Theme

In Sliding Door theme, I got rid of one of the photos at the top, making it narrower. I kind of randomly reduced the widths in the stylesheet to get my title graphic to center over my sliding door images.
Problem now- my text on my pages extends too far to the right.
Also: There seems to be too much gap (padding) between the left sidebar and the main page/column.

My second lesser problem- I want to get rid of any timestamp or link to comments under my posts. I’ve accomplished this on my ‘pages’ but they are still under individual blog posts. I don’t want them anywhere.

PROBLEM WITH SIDEBAR AND SLIDINDOOR THEME

How to see if I can lend a hand because I am quite desperate. I explained the problem:

I have installed the slidingdoor theme, but with the other issues also have problems seeing the widgets and sidebar.

When “click away on the edge of sidebar widgets (supondo which is to place the structure of the menus and such ..) I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_deregister_script () in / home2/webcamsp/public_html/wp-content/plugins/widgets/widgets.php on line 204

No way, I’ve uninstalled everything several times, but I can think alike, desperate …
I’m using a theme that is called Sliding door (I uploaded several times and all versions …), when you charge me with a problem of sidebar (I guess it must be realcionado):
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_list_bookmarks () in / home2/webcamsp/public_html/wp-content/themes/slidingdoor/sidebar.php on line 8

On the other hand, if I put the 2 items which comes in the default wordpress, in the control panel do not see anywhere tab widgets / sidebar. Not as reposition the position of the menus and other .. I am a bit stranded ….
