Yoast Slowing down my site

I just recently installed Yoast premium for my wordpress site biglean.com. After a few days of working with it and making some major upgrades to my site i started noticing drastic slow down to my site. sometimes taking upwards of 45 seconds to load according to webpagetest.org.

I deactivated yoast and then my site started running extremely quickly again. Is there a fix for this? Something i can change in my Yoast settings or my wordpress that will allow this plugin to run and not slow down my site?

…is added to bloat up your database and ruin your site’s performance. Frustrating to have to fix and / or delete all of this data once you try and migrate away.

I use this plugin A LOT! But since I updated WordPress to version 4.8.3 this plugin runs slow and locks up my orders page. I tested this by deactivating the plugin to see how quickly the orders page loads and it loads as should. But once activating again…it the orders page loads slow again. Can you please fix this?

Intermittent site load horrible load times

We just moved a WordPress site to a GoDaddy server and most of the time the site won’t even load (https://sushiloungesd.com/). It’ll reach around a minute and time out. Sometimes after this happens I can refresh and the page will load within a second, other times it won’t load at all and just timeout again. We originally had the site on a HostGator account and never had any issues. The site loaded in around 2.5 seconds.

I’ve tried looking at the network section of dev tools and it seems each time it gets hung up on something different. I know a lot of the files/images could be reduced in size, but it shouldn’t be making the site this bad. Do you think it’s a host issue?

Cinchpress Photo Rotator Runs Slow

HI folks. I appreciate your assistance. I have a site, https://leonardsipes.com, and I use Cinchpress.

There are times when it takes 30 seconds to load the Cinchpress photo rotator. I’ve read the forums, Googled the problem and I took steps to lower the size of the photos but nothing seems to improve performance.

The photo rotator has always loaded slow, but lately, it seems to be impossibly slow.

Slow Load Times and Other Questions

We’ve had a lot of turnover at my company, and it looks like I’ll now be in charge of the blog, which is loading so slowly that it’s causing problems pulling in content to our other platforms.

Any suggestions on how to find out the following:

Who our current Site Admin is and how to change it to myself?
Who we are currently hosted by?
Any suggestions on slow load times?

Sorry for the lack of info but I’m just jumping into this blind, and can’t find any contact info for WP support.

Site really slow since installing 3.8 (tried almost everything!)

Hi,

I’ve been having major speed issues on my site since installing “Parker”. Basically the site was taking around 11 seconds to load a page. My host looked into this thoroughly and after being unable to find the root of the issue agreed to move my site to a new datacentre and onto a new database service etc.

After this – the load time increased a little but not by much at all. I tried reinstalling wordpress and it fixes the site for a short period of time – literally like 6-8 hours – and then it starts to slow again until I reinstall 3.8 once more.

I’ve tried switching off all plugins, running with default theme etc etc but nothing seems to speed the site up at all apart from reinstalling wordpress. I considered rolling back to 3.7 but figured I’d get a forced update at some point?

Anyone else having similar issues or know why this would be happening? The site is at https://www.phuturelabs.com

Website not loading fully, very slow when it does

Updated my theme, Child Agency Theme, to 2.0 and several plugin updates a couple weeks ago and now i can’t even try to figure out whats wrong because it just won’t load.
I have been told there are several url’s that are not secure, as my site is set for forced ssl. But these pages are not loading correctly and neither is my theme. All visitors are getting a security warning. I downloaded HTTPS plugin but can’t set it up. these are the url’s sent to me that are not secure…how do i use the https plugin to fix these?

I wrote my hostserver who said my site is loading like lightening, but the theme is not loading and ultimate facebook is causing errors, but I don’t handle that particular plugin so I don’t know anything about it.

I’m new to WP and I don’t understand how to fix my website after hours of research. Could someone please help me out? I was also told i have “tons of javascript errors”, so be my guest! If you need further information, just ask. Thank you in advance for any help…as each moment that this is not handled is a sale i’m not getting.

slow load times for wordpress site

Hi – loving the genesis and agency themes from Studio Press.

I’ve just developed a site for a client using the genesis and agency themes for wordpress.

The load times are quite slow, there is a significant pause before anything happens of about 3-5 seconds.

I would love some suggestions or comments or links to articles on how to improve the load time of these themes.

Hello. Just wondering, while I’m waiting, does anyone use the host POWWEB for their webpages? I’ve been experiencing slow load times (very slow load times) periodically. It usually lasts a couple hours then when it comes back it runs completely fine. I’m not entirely sure if it’s the host that is the problem, but I assume so. ‘Very slow load times’ meaning like up to 10-15minutes just to load if it doesn’t just go to server error or reset server or something to this effect. Anyone know of reputations of leading hosts that are either good or bad? Personally my experience has been pretty damn crappy from these guys. As you can imagine this is incredibly inconvenient, I just wanted to make sure that, “Connection was reset” or “server not found” is a problem with the host loading the database, rather than something wrong with my wordpress… like I said it usually comes back and loads immediately and great, and of course my internet connection is fine as other pages load freely. (I am sort of new to php.)
