WP Smart Sort produces 'Nothing Found' page

Hello all,

I’ve installed WP Smart Sort plugin and I was able to get some custom fields to appear on the placesort drop down choice. However, as I select a field to sort, I am directed to a ‘Nothing Found for (category)’ page.

I’ve been trying to fix but have not been successful at it.

3.1 Capability For Website Visitor To Sort Posts

I’ve seen several topics related to this. Many of them are unfortunately outdated (WP 2.9 and older) and I haven’t found a solution for WP 3.1 anywhere. So, forgive me for this but I have to ask, since the WP Smart Post plugin is no longer being developed how can I set up an option for my website visitors to have control over how posts are sorted on category pages?

A little background on the website:

WP version: 3.1
Caching plugin: W3 Total Cache
Review plugin: MyReviewPlugin
Default post sorting: Average rating highest to lowest

Additional sorting options I’ve been asked to provide:

Average rating lowest to highest
Alphabetical A-Z
Alphabetical Z-A
Published date newest to oldest
Published date oldest to newest
Number of comments most to least
Number of comments least to most

I have a blog that displays the latest posts from multiple categories. I have been searching for a way to allow visitors to my site to choose to sort my posts by the date posted, title or category. So far the only option I have found is the smart sort premium plugin which is no longer available for sale.

Does anyone know of a good alternative or a way to do this (preferably plugin based – I’m no php expert!)

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Im looking for an easy to use dynamic filter for custom fields on posts.

I found the perfect one, WP-Smart-Sort Premium. But the owner has shut his site down and is no longer selling it.

So…

Does anyone know if its possible to still get your hands on a copy of WP-Smart-Sort-Premium? Paid or otherwise?

The non-premium version does not contain the features I need.

Does anyone know of any other plugins (paid or free) that can achieve dynamic filtering of content via custom fields?

WP Smart Sort

I’m using WordPress v2.7 and installed the WP Smart Sort plugin. I’m using it to sort by a custom field called Cost. It works onload but if I change the sort filter a 404 error is produced.
What would cause this and how can I fix?
