SB: The plugin works, however, the Photos API is broken from Meta’s side and it’s not working currently. Alternatively, you can use Albums feed and Timeline feeds which are working fine.
Michael reviewed the situation with my suddenly absent Instagram feed, offered simple but detailed instructions and solved the issue in 24 hours. He has been responsive, helpful and generous with his time.
If you’re with Smash Balloon top brass and are reading this, do whatever you can to keep this guy…he is an unbelievable asset to your company and your brand.

]]>I’ve tried rooting around the source for the containers but I’m really not that code savvy, and even if I found the right div or class or whathaveyou (none seemed to touch them…) I wouldn’t know how to fix this particular problem.
Thanks for the help
]]>Im using the plugin Smash Balloon to show my instagram feed on my website. First the plug in worked, but now whenever I go to the page where the instagram posts should be the pictures are hidden.
When I’m logged in and in my backend I however can see the entire feed incuding the pictures.
Is there a fix for this?
]]>I am trying to help a non-profit get an updated site. The theme’s design is fantastic. Using the Smash Balloon plugin with Rife and from the documentation, it appears that it might have to do with the CSS for the theme, changing the images from square as presented by IG, and they natural proportions are being displayed in the IG feed. Searched the CSS file and cannot figure it out. The plugin developer said that it could be do to the theme having an image size CSS code overriding by using the !important tag.
Site is currently sandboxed, should be going live on 3 Feb.
]]>I’m using Avada Theme (Avada’s Instagram element is defunct due to their issues with Meta) so I’m attempting to use Smash Balloon.
In Smash Balloon’s setting > Color Scheme I’m using> Inherit from Theme, however, in my Chrome browser only, the Instagram background color does not show the color of ‘Inherit from Theme’ but a random “red” color. It appears in Chrome Inspector the “red” color is via an injected stylesheet:
#sb_instagram {
background: rgb(230, 115, 112) !important;
outline: rgb(255, 0, 0) solid !important;
}
Other browsers (Safari, Vivaldi, Opera) show the Instagram background correctly – the only issue is in Chrome.
I edit WordPress in Chrome & in Smash Balloon’s setting the Instagram background also shows as a “red” color.
Fyi, I’ve cleared caches in all browsers used multiple times.
Would you know what is going on &/or how to remedy it?
Thank you.
