404 Errors on Gallery Sort or Save Settings

Well, you could have at least allow me to copy my replies before totally shutting me out of a thread. I thought I was providing additional information. NextGEN support has changed a lot!

That said, I built a new site on my staging platform, testbed.biz. In it, I used four galleries of about a dozen images and all was working. I got a new domain name safranbolutimetravel.com and cloned the contents of testbed.biz on it.

I wanted a little larger images in the galleries, so I created new copies and uploaded them into one of the galleries. When I wanted to sort the images so that I could put the new ones next to the old to have the same order, I was presented with a 404 This page cannot be found message. I wanted to save the settings after adding titles to the new ones, the same error appeared. I did the following to no avail to fix the problem:

Deleted all other plugins, no help
Changed the theme, no help
Deactivated NextGEN gallery and got a fatal error message, essentially rendering the site unusable
I searched online and found this topic:

to which I added my problem details and tried the solutions NGG team offered, no help
I deleted the site and rebuilt it, this time without NextGEN Gallery using Jetpack tiled gallery in its place, it worked!
Later, I added that when I used my laptop instead of the desktop, the problem with sorting the gallery or saving the changes did not occur. And I also reported that
I did all this in good faith and as a user of NextGEN Gallery since its beta versions. I guess, that was a mistake.

If you can replicate the problem and offer a solution, that will be good. If not, my virtual photo exhibit site is working with JP tiled galleries fine. It is not open to public to view yet until Nov 3. Its origins on testbed.biz is still using NGG in its galleries. When I access it from my laptop, I don’t have problems. When I access it from my desktop, I get the 404 errors. Both computers are on WIndows 11 platform and all updates to the OS and applications are applied.

Drag and Drop to Sort Issue

I have my Other Options setting set as “Custom” in “Ascending” order. When I go to any of my galleries and click sort gallery to “Drag and Drop” my photos to change the position of the pictures, it would not let me. I can drag the photos but it doesn’t move to the position I want. It has worked in the past but not anymore. I tried deactivating all my plugins except for NextGen but that did not work either. Please help resolve this. Thank you.

Sorting Images in Gallery

If I want to use the sort function, nothing happens. I go to “Manage Galleries” and choose a gallery. If I then press the “Sort Gallery” button there, nothing happens.
I expect that you can then sort the pictures in the gallery according to this video https://www.imagely.com/sorting-images-in-nextgen-gallery-2-0/.

Sort albums in galleries by date

Hi,

I want to sort by date my albums in a gallery, but it continues sorting it by ID. Is a plugin problem or am i doin something wrong?

I have this query builded:

“album__in=15,16,17,18,11,19,10,20,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56,57,58,59,60,61,74,73,75,81,79,80,84,76,78,77,72,71,6,83,85,82&mime_type=image&order=ASC&orderby=date”

SORT GALLERY button doesn’t load page

Everytime I click the SORT GALLERY button while viewing my list of gallery images, it starts to load the SORTING page and then kicks me back to the list of gallery images page.

Sorting multiple images in sort gallery

I’ve checked many other posts, but can’t seem to find this topic. Is there a way to easily sort multiple images in “Sort gallery” mode? My client has thousands of images that need to be sorted thematically now. The only way I see to sort them is dragging/dropping one-by-one. Can more than one be moved at a time? Sort Gallery will not change image order. Tried uploading images in different order to see if that does the trick. No luck.

I was able to get it to work with out Headway activated.

Cant see images in sort gallery

The ‘Sort Gallery’ link now only shows a list of images by name. You can no longer see the images, making it very impracticable to sort them. Can really only do it by opening another screen to see which image is which. I see someone mentioned this a week ago, is it due to be sorted quickly as we need this feature badly.

Sort Images in Gallery

When I want to sort the images in a gallery in a custom order, the images don’t display in the Dashboard area. So it’s impossible to sort them. It worked fine in the previous version of the plugin.

I’m using version 1.9.23 on WP 4.0.
I tested this in Firefox and in Chrome.

Any suggestions?
