I check the 404 log and find an entry with empty source URL, as below:
Why?
]]>I’m using the built-in wordpress gallery block to display images in a grid. Each of these images links to its original URL. Usually lightboxes take that source URL for their display but Jetpacks Lightbox continues to link to the thumbnail.
Is it possible to change that so it displays the original source?
Best regards
fou
Thanks
]]>what would I put in the source url?
for example
https://www.drpierresblog.com/why-amazon-doesnt-think-health-care-is-any-good/
to go to
https://www.drberrypierre.com/podcasts/why-amazon-doesnt-think-health-care-is-any-good
how to do I add the /podcasts/
Also same issue if I wanted to go from
https://www.drpierresblog.com/why-its-always-important-to-ask-even-if-you-think-you-know/
to
https://www.drberrypierre.com/why-its-always-important-to-ask-even-if-you-think-you-know
what do I do
]]>In the ‘Target URL’ I place the new site url for a page. For example https://mynewsite.cam/mynewpage
When I save redirect the Source url changes to /blahblah. So no redirect from old url to new url is recorded.
I tried ‘When Matched’ ‘pass through’ but still ended up with no old url in redirect list other than the /blahblah.
I tried ‘match only’ url, and ‘match url and referrer’ and couldn’t get old url to appear in redirect list.
What am I doing wrong?
]]>At bottom of every post:
The post “title of post” appeared first on “another website link”.
that is showin the original source link, how to remove it..?
Thanks

]]>after searching hours and hours for a solution:
my problem is that a rss-2-email-newsletter gets its content from a WordPress Feed.
This feed shows articles that come from various websites and are imported via FeedWordPress. FeedWordPress is edited, so that the permalinks point to the local copy on the website.
But the WordPress feed automatically produces another permalink (..mehr) to the wrong website and a line at the end with 2 more links to the “wrong” source…(Der Beitrag 3ik-Wochenbericht vom 22.08.2014 erschien zuerst auf 3ik-Strategiefonds.)
I don’t know PHP and have no idea what files should be edited to delete these unwanted links…
(I work with Dreamweaver and I’m able to edit all wp-files)
anybody out there with a step by step instruction / solution…

Amber
I just recently upgraded to WordPress 3.9.2 (from 3.8), and a feature that I use extensively seems to have moved or is missing completely.
I host all of my site images in separate directories, not in the WordPress libraries, so I typically use a image-from-URL to insert images into a site post. In WordPress 3.8 and earlier, I could do the procedure:
1. Change the first image to a formatting I like; say the directory is pics/foo1.jpg
2. Copy and paste the first image, then change its source URL to another image, such as pics/foo2.jpg. This makes writing posts faster for me.
3. Also change the width property of the image on the fly. I often intersperse screenshots (wide) with camera photos (narrower aspect ratio), so I’d punch in the same width as my photos. For example, a 1080px wide screenshot I’d enter ‘640’ in the width box because that’s what my photo thumbnails end up as.
I can no longer do any of those in WP 3.9.2. When I copy and paste an image, I can’t change its source url without popping into HTML editing mode, which seems off. I can also not modify its width in the editor box that pops up.
This seems like a very common feature, so I hope it didn’t just disappear. What are its equivalents in 3.9.2?
For now, I added a CSS hack that still makes my page appear the way I want it, but the view from the editor is of course very messed up. I just added a max-width property to every instance of img.
#content p img{border:none;margin:10px 10px 10px 10px; max-width: 640px;}
#content p a img{border:none;margin:10px 10px 10px 10px; max-width: 640px;}
Some help or explanation would be appreciated. I’m sure WP developers can’t have just removed such a useful process so it must be around here somewhere!
