Thank you in advance!
]]>This has been going on for some time and I cant seem to get a handle on it.
Recently, I installed WPbruiser on 2 sites on test mode and have clicked the MC4WP button in settings but get this error:
Submitted Form: MailChimpForWp
Test Status: Rejected
Reject Reason: Invalid Token
Client Ip Address: 217.117.248.140
Client User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux x86_64; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/102.0
Warning : Do not activate protection for MailChimpForWp !
Cant seem to get a handle on this spam issue and wondering if I need to use a different signup form going forward?
]]>We have for several years happily been using Subscribe2 to notify our readers when a new post is online. Lately though we have had a lot of attempted signups (from robots I guess) resulting in confirmation email bouncing to postmaster (me) and ruining my mail servers reputation.
I have seen that the extended edition now have a ReCaptcha option on the subscribe page and would like to ask if you have any plans on back-porting this to the free non-HTML version?
After all 69$/year is a lot of money for a non commercial blog, – and I would never want to send html letters anyway.

Some of the participants on this hop cannot comment on my site. When they try, they’re told that they’re spam bots & to contact Admin to resolve it. Well, I don’t know *how* to.
I’ve checked settings / discussions – I’ve unticked “users must be registered”. I’ve asked it to close thread over 200 days old (this latest blog is 3 days old)
I can comment on it if I log out of my site or from a different PC on my own home, but friends in the USA cannot.
I don’t know where to look or what to look for now to resolve it.
Please, can anyone help? I’m using version 4.8 with the running theme Twenty Seventeen.
I have Akismet on via JetPack & I can’t find anything in there to cause this.
things seem working fine so far, thanks a lot.
One question which came to my mind is the bot with the nick “test” –
is this just a dummy, does this one work for your plugin or is it a real bot?
I never came across with this bot anywhere else.
Regards
Oliver
PS If thing go straigt, I will be helping with the german translation

Anyone have any advice on this? Any plugins available, or will this take a more skilled hand than mine? I found some very complex tutorials, or outdated ones. Any advice would be welcome! (PS – I’m not a developer, so go easy on me. I can follow good directions though…)

]]>I’m being hit by spam bot new user registrations, despite having Math Capita: conditional Capita: SABRE, and a mass of other boxes ticked on the registration screens.
Still they are getting in.
I have new users needing to be approved by me before they have access, so at one level: I’m keeping the crap from my door.
What I was thinking: was that I would like a [TEXT FORM FIELD] as part of the new user registration screen, and only someone typing a [sensible] message would trigger an email to me, then I can see that the user is real, and at that point: I can approve them.
Searched Plug-ins: and really Googled the query, but I can’t seem to find anything that fits my needs. Has anyone heard of a plug-in that might have that facility?
Thanks for reading.
