Spam Registrations Persisting Despite reCAPTCHA Activation

Hello WebFactory Support,

I am using the Advanced Google reCAPTCHA plugin on my WordPress website to prevent spam registrations. I have configured the plugin and enabled reCAPTCHA on the user registration form, but I am still experiencing a high volume of spam registrations from a couple of days.

Here are the details of my setup:

Plugin Version: v1.27
WordPress Version: 6.7.1
reCAPTCHA Type: v2 Checkbox

Issues Observed:

Despite reCAPTCHA being enabled, bots are still managing to register.
I have verified that the reCAPTCHA box appears on the registration page and does not show any errors.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

Checked API keys and re-entered them.
Tested registration form in an incognito browser to confirm reCAPTCHA appears.
Enabled: Block bad bots an option inside Firewall tab into the Advanced Google reCAPTCHA plugin.

Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this?

Crashed my site & didnt recognise spam users

your plugin crashed my website, unfortunately (fatal error), thus it′s unusable. Also beforehand, it didnt recognise very obvious Spam registrations. I′d like to ask you for a refund.

I wonder if anyone can help with this
I have ran a memberships site for 6/7 years now and never had a problem with this until I switched to a new theme recently. The only differing factors are of course the theme but also Elementor and Woocommerce. I am speaking to the theme’s author but I get the feeling they are close to holding their hands in the air, I’ve spoke to my host and they directed me to the theme’s author, I spoke to Elementor and they said it wcouldnt be anything to do with their plugin and because woocommerce was bundled in with my theme I don’t believe i can get support from woocommerce direct so wondered if anyone in the forum might be able to help.
Baically I am getting absolutely bombarded with SPAM registrations. I have recaptcha installed and email verification and the email verification is the only thing saving me from them getting through at the moment but there are so many, logic would suggest it is only a matter of time before one gets through. Its also filling up my inbox with email notifications which I need and dont want to stop receiving them but its also inconvenient.
I wondered if anyone might be able to offer any advice ?

I installed this plugin some time ago and also installed the google recapchta but I still get lots of spam registrations.

I followed your instructions to disable wordpress registration and other features but still get lots of spam registrations.

I also installed lots of domain blacklist plugins and many firewalls but no good coming out of it.

I need to know:
is there a way via plugin or any snippet where I can include the DOMAINS for the spam registrations for them to be blacklisted from registrations?

i have noticed in increase of spam registration in wordpress even when i have my wp-admin and wp-login as password protected from cpanel so to access wp-login.php?action=register page also user needs to enter the username and password to access the page but still iam getting so many spam registration as subscribers

i think with the new update there is a new spam link which we are not aware about?

After recent WP and plugin updates, it seems spammers are able to register on the site through @gmail , @hotmail and @yahoo. There is no change done from our end on configuration.
Please provide earliest support as we are getting a lot of spam registrations.

SPAM Registrations even though google Recaptcha is enabled

Despite all my efforts with enabling Google Recaptcha extension in Ultimate Member, I continue to get 3-5 spam registrations per day. I have added the domains that are generating spam to the blocked email address (see below) and despite this, there are registrations, WITH THESE BLOCKED DOMAINS still getting through. It seems that UM settings are just being ignored. I have seen other posts for this that have since been closed with the same problem:

I have enabled recaptcha on the UM registration, UM login, and UM password reset. I found other posts about redirecting the WP login to the UM and that occurs, so I don’t think that they are registering directly through WordPress.

I really wish UM would get their act together. I have had so many issues with this one plugin. Can someone help??

Prevent spam registrations on a membership page

Hi!

A lot of spam registrations are appearing with my client’s WordPress page. It is a membership page so registrations should be allowed though. The spam registrations seem to come from WordPress’ default registration form even though i made a redirect from it to a custom form with a reCAPTCHA. What could be done to prevent the spam registrations? Is it possible without a plugin?

Profile Builder Spam Registrations

Hi,
I’m using Profil builder on my site and I have the problem that profiles are created automatically (in average 10 per Day). First I added a reCaptcha Field in the registration, but that didn’t changed anything. By registration the Name and Surname are required fields but the Spam accounts don’t have any. So I think the registrations request are sended directly to the server somehow.

Does someone know how to fix my problem?
