When I open the petition on my mobile device, the lightbox that pops up when I click “read the petition” is bigger than the screen. Is there a way to make it responsive?

Success message not displaying

My signers are not getting the success message. Even though the signature is counted, after they sign the screen freezes and the success message is not displayed.

I have previously used Speakup and Speakout petitions and always I have been able to get it to work.

I recently put up a new petition and the sign now button just results in just those moving dots that mean waiting. I uninstalled all my other plugins, uninstalled and reinstalled Speakout, changed my theme, checked the Php MyAdmin tables, reset my htaccess to default, I can’t think of anything else to try.

Can anyone figure this out?

I saw that Speakup was not being updated, and I was concerned because I really got a lot of good use out of it. I am very thankful that someone has picked it up. I think there is a lot of potential for this plugin. Big petition sites steal your contacts. Running your own petition allows you to build your base.
Update: This plugin has excellent support. I get more use out of it than software I have paid big bucks for. Definitely worth supporting!

What does this function do?

I created a page on my site & put the URL into the form field, but I was not redirected to this page upon filling out the form. Am I doing something wrong? Am I misunderstanding what a ‘Return URL’ is?

Activating german language not possibla

Hi
installed the plugin.
Just do not seem to get it to use the german files.
I renamed dk_speakout_DE.mo to dk_speakout-de_DE.mo
so the .po and .mo have the same name.
Copied these languagefiles to wp-content/languages/plugins.

Cleared the browsercache.

Still the plugin stays in english.

Problem with signaturelist-shortcode

[emailpetition id=”1″] works, the side with [signaturelist id=”1″], however, shows only “signaturelist id=”1”, not the entries. Can anyone help with the problem to me? Best thanks from Hamburg!

Hi!
So grateful to Steve D that he updated the SpeakUp plugin to SpeakOut. However, using the Basic Petition Theme I have problem with some text not being visible to read. This concerns the heading for the petition and the “Share” text before the Facebook and Twitter buttons. The texts are just slightly visible as shadows, while all other text is sharp and clear. I hope there is some easy way to solve this, since I am not used to css.
But if needed and with good instructions, I can try.

"Yes! Keep me posted" opt-in label not visible

Hello Steve – I know SpeakOut! isn’t listed as being updated for 4.4.2, but we needed a petition ASAP, and it works fine except for one thing: Where the further-contacts opt-in is apparently supposed to say “Yes! Keep me posted”, it has only a “0” (zero). (I’ve tried it on Firefox and Safari.)

I’m not a programmer, but if I knew which file the coding for that is in, perhaps I could fix it with the plugin editor… ??

(There seems to be no place in the Settings to change this – though it -would- be nice to be able to change the wording.)

Can you please help with this?
(I’d donate, if so. :^)

THANK YOU! It’s a fine little script, otherwise.
(We -would- like to be able to print each petition on its own too – would make a nice fat pile to present to a politician!)
