What’s the difference between SpeakOut! and https://wppetitions.com/ SpeakOut?

The latter seems to be a fork of the former. I’m confused since both seem to have the same name.

For anyone who still want to use this plugin, I just used the plugin SpeakOut, from Host123, it is exactly the same, and it went very well. Super fast and painless.

I have added a new feature to SpeakOut! the SpeakUp! replacement.

If you install SpeakOut! it includes an import tool to import all your petitions and signatures. It is non-destructive i.e. it doesn’t affect your existing petitions and signatures at all when importing.

I do suggest that after installing you deactivate the old speakup plugin to avoid confusion as they look very similar.

I have forked it to SpeakOut! and made some improvements.

Having seen less than 10% of support requests resolved I know this is not on the top of the list of priorities, still it would be useful to know the differences in terms of functionality between your two plugins. That should be at hand by the way, otherwise it’s completely unclear why is this fork necessary. Many thanks in advance.

Problem with accent

I have a problem when importing with accents that are in the file.
The letters with accents are removed.

Testing with a file in UTF-8 and ISO-8859-1.

In order to keep the plugin alive I have forked it as SpeakUp!

In addition to the custom text you can set for sharing the petition on Twitter, the Facebook sharing link has the form content in the share box, when I click the Facebook link. In my case I see this:

Not all strings translated

hi there
i just discovered this plugin which so far i think is great. i got one minor issue: two strings are not being translated into german. it is not the same problem as mentioned here and here, as i had german set as my language before the plugin-installation.
Here you’ll find the petition (scroll to bottom).
If you click on “Lesen Sie die Petition” (=read the petition), on the bottom of the pop-up appears (signature) instead of the german expression.
Same with the text that indicates the number of signatures (beneath the orange button): it says x signatures.
so it seems to me that the string “signature” has not been translated yet. how can i manage this? what file(s) do i have to manipulate?
Any help will be appreciated.
