I absolutely love that WP Meteor works with LiteSpeed Cache which already does a great job helping page speed. Most optimizer plugins either come into conflict with caching plugins or don’t create any perceivable differences when used with cache. I won’t judge them as this is a tricky art. WP Meteor however has created something truly wonderful that further accelerates page speed. I thoroughly tested different pages with different scenarios. When WP Meteor is disabled both my page load clock and my eyes notice a big difference. There was a minor PHP notice that I submitted a ticket for (on the WP support forum). Aleksandr graciously fixed it along with other recent optimizations. This plugin is well cared for and comes highly recommended. Thank you.

Delayed image (lazy) loading after update / react

After updating to 4.0 and the react my (lazy loaded) images are all very slow when the plugin is active, like a 2 second delay before they all show up.

When deactiving it is normal/fast again.

I tried deactiving caching plugin too but that didn’t seem to help. I hope you have an idea how to do this, or if not if it’s possible to revert to the old version by installing the older plugin version for example.

Boosting Site Speed with GeneratePress Theme

I used the Voice theme for a long time and thought it was a good theme. It certainly is, but only within its class. I was struggling with slow mobile page loading speeds. The highest score I could achieve on Pagespeed Insights was 77. At one point, I tried the GeneratePress theme on my site and could hardly believe my eyes, as the mobile speed score soared to 95+, with all other indicators at 100. Desktop speed and all other metrics were 100. For those who don’t believe it, check it out at: boonused.org

So sometimes it’s not about anything else but simply having the right theme. You just can’t squeeze good speed out of a poorly optimized theme. Additionally, GeneratePress seems flexible and comfortable to use, where simplicity and many features go hand in hand. I am very satisfied, A++++.

Because of this I cannot upgrade. Please have a look into it.
