Well, I’m trying to edit those blog posts and it’s a flaming nightmare. They are using the classic editor, so I got a plugin to convert to block editor. The posts are opening in custom HTML blocks, see attached. I can’t edit text, photos, anything because they’re all buried in HTML, not showing up as typical blocks.
I can provide more screenshots and documentation if needed. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

I’ve just recently taken over at a company who has lost all of their access to the WordPress admin site. When going to the wp.login page, it just shows up with an error 404. The site also has many breaks in the coding when access by the public.
We have now built a new site through Squarespace and are ready to publish and attach our existing domain.
My question is, our Domain is through GoDaddy but our web hosting is through Panthur. If we connect up the exisiting domain to our Squarespace site and aren’t able to deactivate our WordPress site through logging in and deactivating it, will information from the WordPress site still show up on the web when our domain is connected to the new Squarespace site?
I’m very new to web design stuff and am a little confused with the setup.
]]>I’m currently working on linking the inventory from a SquareSpace website to show up on a WordPress website, and although I believe I’ve found the answer (export inventory CSV file from SquareSpace and upload to WordPress), I was wondering if there were any other options. The BEST case scenario would be using a plug-in that would automatically add and update all of the inventory from the SquareSpace website on the WordPress website, but I haven’t found a way to do this successfully. Any help or advice would be EXTREMELY appreciated, thank you all and happy holidays!

]]>I’d like to migrate my webpage developed by Squarespace to WordPress. I managed to install WP on my cPanel using the toolkit. However, I’m not able open the WP admin/login page after installation in order to import the content from Squarespace. When I try to open the admin page, the webpage from Squarespace opens up. I assume this is due to the fact that my domain is still connected to Squarespace.
I’d like to develop my WP website using exported Squarespace data without making the website go offline. Is it possible to export the contents to WP and work on the new website without disconnecting the current webpage on Squarespace? If yes, how am I supposed to that?
All of the online tutorials only show how to export/import the content and not how to develop the new WP site.
Thanks for your help
]]>The culprit seems to be a codeblock called .sqs-block
. I’ve found that I can edit the block and remove the padding manually, but seeing as I have ~500 posts and pages, this will be many days of work that I am sure there is a way to avoid.
I’ve tried to override the settings in the codeblock using custom CSS that seems to have worked for some folks, but not for me:
.sqs-block.image-block {
padding: 0px !important;
}
.sqs-block.sqs-image-shape-container-element {
padding-bottom: 0px !important;
}
The relevant section of code in the codeblock is:
" style="position: relative; padding-bottom: 133.43023681640625%; overflow: hidden;"
The 133.4…% padding goes away if I set it to 0, but, like I said, doing this on a block-by-block, post-by-post basis will be kind of awful Does anyone know of a way to sort this all at once?
Also, If this is the wrong forum, please let me know and I’ll be happy to move it.
Thank you,
Ridley
P.S. Here’s the entire codeblock if anyone is interested:

]]>1. Image duplicates
2. The images aren’t appearing in the same position on the page
3. The images are different sizes than they were in Squarespace
4. The images sometimes are completely missing altogether
Unfortunately, this problem extends to 545 posts in total. I don’t want to manually edit each post, and I imagine there are plugins that would allow me to batch edit. However, does anyone have any ideas about the root of the problem? I suspect if that issue is addressed, then I wouldn’t have to fix the chaos it caused with the images.
Does anyone have any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
