]]>“WordPress error: cURL error 35: SSL connect error”
Also, we have 5 forms set up on Formstack and my WordPress Formstack back end shows:
Available Forms: 0
PHP Version: 7.1.11
I also tried “Refresh Formstack form cache” with no luck and the Authenticate With Formstack API constantly displays even after I successfully authenticate on the Formstack page.
Please advise.

]]>I’ve been using the BackWPup plugin for a few weeks and really like it.
It was working well until I had my hosting provider install an SSL certificate and I switched my public site (and WordPress admin) from http to https. At that point BackWPup started failing at the beginning of (manual) backups with an “SSL connect error”. (The same error appears in the Information tab, next to Server self connect.)
I tried installing the Disable WordPress Local Connection SSL Verifying plugin (on a couple separate occasions actually), but that made no difference.
After a lot of trial-and-error I found that if I log into the http version of WordPress admin, manual backups start working again. However, for better security I’d prefer to use this in wp-config.php:
define('FORCE_SSL_ADMIN', true);
and of course log into the https version of WordPress admin.
In case it’s relevant I should also mention I’m using a CloudFlare proxy, configured for “Strict SSL”.
Is there any way to fix this?
Thanks!

]]>I’m using CloudFlare Flexible SSL and I get this error.
The HTTP response test get an error "SSL connect error"
I already installed the Disable WordPress local connection SSL verifying plugin however it does not help.
What can I do?
WordPress version 4.2.4
BackWPup version 3.1.4
PHP version 5.6.12
MySQL version 5.6.21
cURL version 7.19.7
cURL SSL version NSS/3.19.1 Basic ECC
WP-Cron url: https://example.com/wp-cron.php
Server self connect: The HTTP response test get an error "SSL connect error"

]]>I’ve just helped a friend restore their broken wordpress site; I know a bit about IT generally but am unfamiliar with wp.
Everything works apart from the most important bit….
I can create a quick draft from the dashboard page and I can quick edit that post. However, when I try to use the normal ‘edit’ option or click on the post title itself, I get the following error:
curl_errno: 35 | curl_error: SSL connect error
As far as I can see there are no SSL plugins so I’m guessing using SSL for posting is a default setting.
Has anyone seen this error or know a solution?
Thanks in advance.
