Certificate verification disabled (sslverify=false)

Some times ago your answer on this issue was, that WordPress Version x.y requires SSL for this task, but you will disable this in a future OMGF version to make it work on http environments again.
My unresolved problem is: I’m teaching WordPress on local environments (like Laragon or Local by Flywheel) and can not show OMGF to my trainees since http support in OMGF is broken

How this impact my site performance? How can this be solved?
Thanks in advance
Certificate verification disabled: sslverify=false
When the Popup Maker plugin is disabled, the problem disappears.
Any thoughts? Thank you.

When the LiteSpeed plugin is disabled, the problem disappears. Also, there is a similar problem here https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/site-library-is-not-loading/.
I link it to the Cloudflare connection, but no matter how I try to disable it there, the problem does not disappear. I even turned it off in the plugin settings – it doesn’t help.
Please help solve the problem. Thank you.

Seeing this error in the WP console for cron events:

I’ve got ssl setup on the back-end web servers, load balancer and CloudFront(CDN). It is working, but see the above error with sslverify. Looked at a lot of blogs with no real solution. Not exactly sure how to fix this. Please help.
Thanks,

I don’t know what’s causing the problem but there seems to be other people having problem with Yosemite and SSL (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26710482/yosemite-ssl-ca-certificate-set-but-certificate-verification-is-disabled)
Setting sslverify to true in class-api.php:290 solves the problem but of course only temporary.
Does anyone have more info on what sslverify does?

add_filter(‘https_ssl_verify’, ‘__return_false’);
but it’s not helping
can anyone help?
