Hello. I am planning on implementing the plugin on my site bit I have a question. Currently I do all my plugin and wordpress updates on a staging server which sometimes causes issues with a Recaptcha plugin I use so I disable it before transferring the live site to the staging site. Should I do the same with WP 2FA?

Lost Subscriber Info when Started Staging Site

I setup a staging site on wp engine but was unaware to put jetpack in Safe Mode. As a result the subscriber data from the live site moved to the staging site as jetpack thought that the staging url is the live url. When I log into wordpress.com I don’t see any of the user data there. Is there a way of getting it back? I’m not on a paid plan.

As a novice to WordPress I was amazed just how easy it was to setup a working copy of my existing website. The process was very simple although there also seems to be step by step video guides to back this up! I also had another small question which was answered very quickly and fixed immediately. I did start with the free version although after all the help will definitely be buying the Pro version! I would highly recommend this tool.

I can't get Jetpack out of staging server mode

My Jetpack plugin for Chellesprettythings.com indicates that it is running on a staging server. I’ve contacted my host provider, hostgator, but they have been unable to resolve the issue. I was working on a development or staging subdomain (dev.chellesprettythings.com) last October and the issue seems to have started at that time. I do not know how to fix this.

Slider disappears when moving from local to staging

Hi All,

I’m using Soliloquy lite for a site that I’m developing, and for the most part it works just fine. My problem is that when I move the site from my local install to my staging install my carousel disappears. I move the files and the DB up to my staging server and I get absolutely nothing using the same Soliloquy slider and ID number. The slider is present on the WP backend, but there’s no code in the containing div.

If I recreate the slider I don’t have any problems, so I’ve got a fine work around, but it’d be nice if I didn’t have to double or triple my work (I assume I’ll have to recreate a new carousel when the site goes live as well) when I use this slider.

Any help appreciated.

Staging Server: how do I set one up and install WP on it?

I’m having problems with a theme I bought and the theme support has asked to see the site on a staging server – currently, I’m working on the site on local host using MAMP. I’m new to this; so my question is how do I set up a staging server and upload the site I’ve got on local host to it?
