If it’s working, I kinda work in Slow Motion Mode. This is not workable, not doable. I seriously can’t believe I am the only WordPress user having this massive performance issue.
Thanks for any help, advise or troubleshooting guides, appreciate it.

]]>For the last few days UpdraftPlus hasn’t completed a backup and instead hangs (I left the backup for several hours with no joy). Each attempt varies in how much it progresses, the current attempt has stalled at 7% (next resumption: 1 (after -2205s), but it once got as far as 88%.
I’ve tried splitting archives every 30mb instead of every 400mb, but that doesn’t help.
The plugin used to backup fine with the last successful backup on 26th August, that was with 400mb.
Can anyone help?

I stopped the process earlier today (by refreshing the page) and the URL went back to installing WordPress… grrrr
so I am hesitant to stop the process midflow again. the only thing from a barebones setup is a logo was added and the woocommerce plugin installed and that installed jetpack plugin. Otherwise it is an up-to-date and new install.

Thanks Robert
I get no errors in the Activity Log, it just always stalls. Usually it stalls after showing “3000 files indexed”. Sometimes it stalls at “Found 1 themes”.
Memory benchmark test says “Congratulations, your web host allows you to use at least 80.25 megabytes of memory for each PHP process hosting your WordPress site.”
I’m not using a caching plugin.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks.
