I’ve got an calendar item which is currently busy. Say the event is 13 oct 8.00-12.00hr, it’s now 13 oct 9.00. I would say the current event is still going so the Simple Calendar should show the event. But it’s not. It only show upcomming events. I guess if the starttime has passed, the event is hidden. Even if the event is still running about 9.00hr. It should show up, because the event ends at 12.00hr. If I change the view to show the full day, the event shows up. So all the data is comming into the plug-in.

Is it possible to make a running event show up until the end time has passed by? (event is 8.00-12.00, if it’s 7.00hr it shows because its in the future. At 9.00hr it still shows because the event is running till 12.00hr. When its 12.01 the event is over and not showing in the calendar)

Hello!

I am using the gratis version of the plug-in. I have created the following shortcode for a calendar (the one immediately visible at the linked page)

The dropdown for the month selection contains the months from a year ago up to the month with events. This works fine. However the initial display seems to default to the first month in the dropdown and not to the current one, as I want.

Note that the documentation for the parameter startdate says:

By default, the calendar display will start from the current date.

Is the start date always the first month in the dropdown in the gratis version or what am I missing?

Dashboard Events not showing startdates for Series

In the dashboard, if i search for today’s events, events that are part of a series and multiday events do not show up if their start date is before today. This is critical because we need to see what is happening today!

Date for Courses

This has been asked a few time already. In a blending learning world where synchronous and asynchrounous learning are combined more and more we need an option to add dates for courses. If I use Tutor LMS to offer a bunch of live (e.g zoom) lessons, the course has a start date and each lesson has another specific date. These dates are then relevant to show in the entries of the course grid and courses could be filterable by date. Recordings of the live sessions could be still accessible for attendees via the course after the date has passed, the course would not be on sale anymore.

I dont see a good reason why everybody has to add another event or booking system, where this could be a feature of an LMS.

I can think of no other wordpress based LMS which has that feature, it would stand out and make Tutor LMS unique in this regard if you would implement such feature.

Event ordering doesnt work

Hello,

i used the code which is given in the documentation and putted it in the fuctions.php of my theme. I want to order by event start date (ascending). The most events are ordered correctly but some events arent.

For example the first three events are orderd like this:
1. 01.07.2020
2. 04.05.2020
3. 06.05.2020

Google Search Console Missing “startDate”

Google Search Console is reporting an error Missing field “startDate”. My events all have a date and time. Any ideas about how to get Google Search Console to recognize this? I don’t want to be thrown out of the index for something like this. Anyone?

Long events display on multiple dates in full calendar view

I’m building a site for a club that has nighttime events. So they start at 10pm and finish at 3am the next morning. In the full calendar view, it would make sense for them to appear on date they start only (eg if there’s an event that starts at 10pm on 1 August, it should only appear in the cell for 1 August).

In my settings, I have set ‘Show long events’ to No.

Shouldn’t that stop the event being shown on every date it spans?

At the moment, in full calendar view, two entries appear for an event that starts at 10pm and finishes 3am – one on the day it starts and one on the day it ends. I think that will confuse people.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I right that setting ‘Show long events’ to No should override this? Or have I misunderstood what that setting is for?

Edit startdate when publishdate is scheduled

Having problems editing the event StartDate when the publishdate is scheduled. It looks correct in wp-admin but on the event page the startdate is not updated. I can edit startdate when the event is published, but if I set the publishdate ahead to a future date the startdate jumps back to the startdate that was set when the post was created. Have anyone else had this problem?

separate STARTDATE and ENDDATE?

i am trying to display an event that takes place from a startdate to an enddate. It should look like that:

STARTDATE, STARTTIME
to ENDDATE, ENDTIME

i cannot find a solution for that as there seems to be no placeholder for START/ENDDATE but only for START/ENDTIME.

Can someone help?

Set Enddate automatic to Startdate

is it possible to set the Enddate automaticly to Startdate after setting the Startdate?
Or alternative to leave Enddate blank, when it is a one_day_event?
