Is there a way to translate custom static content with Bogo?

I tried to i18n static content, however the content does not show in the translate terms. Is this supposed to work this way, and is there a way to translate custom static content?

browser caching for static subdomain

Not sure this is the right forum, but hope someone can help me…

I have a www domain and a static (sub)domain that’s on a virtual host (so no seperate fysical location). All images and other static content are served from the static (sub)domain. I checked and it works.

Now I try to leverage browser caching, via htaccess. It works for the www domain, but not for the static (sub)domain.

Anyone knows how to solve this?

Import window not fully in browser window

The Static Content Import window does not fit completely in the browser window height on my laptop screen. The dialog box must be dragged up to access the Next button which is initially hidden below the bottom of the window.

And if so, will it continually upload new images to the storage location when a user adds them to the media library?

Query String added to static content

After a series of disabling plugins I’ve found that wordfence adds a query string to all of my static content. (i.e. /api.min.js?ver=66f85…)

Has anyone analyzed the importance of this behavior vs. it’s impact on page load scores as seen on gtmetrix?

Curious if there is documentation on the importance of this behavior and if it is something that is easily removed if there are other elements providing caching and security backends (i.e. cloudflare)

Issues with nav, admin bar, static content, and wp-login

Having a couple of issues with qtranslate-X. We have the latest version of qtranslate-X (3.4.4) running on wp (4.3.1) with 2 languages – English and German, English being the default. We only want to translate pages, posts and some static content. The pages and posts seem to be translating, however there is an issue with the nav menu, where the menu item is not translating for whatever reason. Sometimes it’s translating when it shouldn’t be. For example when I’m at the root of the site and it’s displaying the german version of the nav menu item when it should be english and toggling english language switcher doesn’t seem to be making a difference. Any way to resolve that?

Another issue is that when I switch to German, it’s translating the admin bar to German. I don’t see where I can set the option to prevent the admin from being translated. Is there a way I can do that?

Similarly, if you log off while having German selected, the wp-login.php page is in German, even though the url does not have a /de/ in it, which makes it hard for people who don’t speak the language to login, especially if you’re using a captcha. Any way I can prevent it from doing that?

Finally, if we to also translate a static piece of content, like a branding tagline or something, is there a hook or something we can use to do that?
